Solid battery / quick charge

Mark19 May 26, 2026

This came with our new 800 Series mower and cut our entire yard (0.4 acre) on one charge. The battery was COMPLETELY exhausted but did manage the job. I used the self propel feature for about 1/2 the job. The set came with a fast charger so it was ready to go again in about an hour. Only used twice so far, but seems to do a great job.

Holds power for the designated time

Moostazni May 3, 2026

This is was a new battery and used for the first time. Worked great and held a charge throughout the entire lawn cutting . . . about an hour. Admittedly, this was a replacement battery from EGO, but EGO honored the warranty (3 years) on the battery. My previous one wasn't holding a charge more than about 20 minutes. It was 2 years old.

Ego products are very good.

Anonymous May 25, 2026

I've had my ego self propelled mower for 4 seasons. The battery had degraded some. But I have started cutting my 93 year old neighbors lawn this season. To be able to mow both yards, I couldn't use the self propelled. Now I can do both yards with self propelled.

Very Efficient!

DJ5876 May 10, 2026

I've used this battery and also charged it. From a completely used battery it takes about 45 - 60 minutes to charge. I'm very happy with it. Placement of the fuel gauge is perfect! I am using it with a mower and you can easily monitor how may 'bars' you have left. Also, the last bar turns red to warn you it's about to run out. I like this.

EGO Battery

PowerCharger May 6, 2026

This is the first EGO product I've used and would highly recommend it. I especially like that you can clearly see how much power you have as you are using the equipment. My neighbor told me she didn't hear me cutting my lawn and I told her about the EGO battery powered lawnmower and showed her the battery and charger. I told her how easy it was to charge the battery and highly recommended she have her husband purchase one for their yard.

Ego Self-Propelled 21" mower

Anonymous May 13, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the new mower. It is a beast and can get thru almost any height of grass! The battery for my medium/small lawn lasted only down to 50% left. The only thing was a learning curve on using the new mower. It is very quiet and a workhorse!

Great battery life

Anonymous June 4, 2026

Used it first time in my mower did the whole yard (6,700 sq. Ft.) and still had 40% battery life left, yard was super high. Just added weed & feed the week before and then cut it on Monday- left for vacation, when I returned home the grass was about 8” high had to recut a few areas do to being so high. Still had 40% left in the battery.

Disappointing battery lufe

Gonzo Bear October 26, 2025

I currently own eight ego tools, and therefore many batteries. While I love the tools, the battery performance has been very disappointing. It's uncanny how they seem to die just after the warranty runs out.

Battery Underperforms

Pubdude October 9, 2025

For a battery that the literature says could last up to 10 years or 1000 hours, my first one lasted less than 3.5 years and maybe 150 hours. Let's hope this one is better. Also, I don't look at EGo as a power equipment company. With the prices charged for underperforming batteries, it seems to me EGo is a battery company that also makes lawn equipment.

Very poor bad life

Mac10 May 12, 2026

We have two batteries. Both operate not near as advertised or sold by the dealer. Both batteries last about 40 minutes. This is on dry ground with not very long grass and not begging the grass. The ground has some grade to it, but not a tremendous amount.
