EGO CS1803 56V Brushless Lithium-Ion 18 in. Cordless Chainsaw Kit with 1 Battery (4 Ah)

I bought my ego chainsaw Fall of ‘25 and have used it a handful of times and there's just nothing to complain about. It's a great tool with everything I need. With a fleet of batteries, what's the need for gas? Mixed gas at that. There's a start/stop lever, LED light, easy bar & chain refill location and a simple chain tightener. If you're considering it, buy it!!

The Ego Power+ 18 inch chainsaw is great for limbing and bucking small diameter down blow and other storm debris. I've only used it once so far, in the week and a half I've had it. I took care of two balsam fir trees that fell down during a storm. I was bucking 6 inch diameter rounds for the stem of the tree. The chainsaw is easy and comfortable to use. A bit heavy with the battery size in the power head but it's an enjoyable product to use. I like the 18 inch bar and chain, perfect for a little extra reach and cutting capabilities. I like the build quality, a good durable power head and Oregon has some of the best bar and chains in the industry. The green chain tensioner knob is a nice feature, no bar to needed. I would suggest this saw to homeowners, property management businesses or people who want to harvest a little firewood for camp or home.

Very smooth cutting chainsaw. This unit outclassed my old 16” (its speed control electric module crapped out). It has more than enough power to cut through the large spruce trees that came down dining the wind storm we had here near Edmonton, Alberta.

I've only used the saw for maybe 20 minutes now, but so far, I'm loving it. It cuts great, and with an adequately sized battery is very powerful. The 2.5 AH battery works, but overheats on hard cuts. It's pretty heavy. With a larger battery its as heavy as my gas chainsaw, but I still like it a lot. I don't consider the chain tightening mechanism to be tool free. By itself, it tightens the chain WAY too tight! I put a screwdriver or something between the bar and the chain while using the tool free tightener so that when I pull the screwdriver out the chain tension is about right. The genuine ego chain is working very well and not loosening rapidly like some chains do.

So far it has worked very well No need to keep pull starting when making many small cuts but also works well on larger pieces. No two stroke smell and noise.

Really impressed with it's cutting power. I've got the Ego T6 Garden Tractor coming next week and will definitely buy a snowblower this Fall. Does Ego have a snow plow coming out? Or an indoor battery storage cabinet for homes in winter?

I have been very pleased with the power and capability of this battery-powered chain saw. I've used it many times since it's purchase. Recently, the unit just stopped working. I'm guessing an electrical component inside the tool failed. I haven't contacted EGO yet, but I will soon. They have a 3-year warranty of their products, so I assume this will get fixed.

Great saw that cuts very well. Battery life is good for me, typically 4-6 ah batteries are used when I am working. Saw is used around our property as well in disaster relief in our region and forest and trail management support. The only question I have is the chain tensioner - the plastic pins and thin metal plates appear to be a weak point.

I bought the chainsaw online new from a national store. When I picked it up it was already assembled even though I didn't pay to have it assembled. That was nice. Unfortunately when I registered the warranty for the saw and battery I see that both were manufactured 6 years ago. Contemplating taking it back for a full refund or one with a newer manufactured date

I'm on my second saw. The first one was DOA after the first use of cutting down a 16" dia. maple. EGO replaced it under warranty. The replacement was DOA after taking down an 18" dia. pine. Waiting to see was service finds wrong with the unit. All in all I got roughly 4 hours of use out of each saw. Save your money
