Great runtime on a single charge

MarkP3 June 30, 2026

This is my first electric mower. Always had gas before because the runtime on electric mowers between charges was too short to cut my entire yard. With the 56 volt ego mower, I get a full hours worth of cutting time even when running the self propelled set for a fast walk behind. Also, the composite material of the cutting deck makes the mower much lighter than any mower I've had.

Handles like a champ

Chris101 June 30, 2026

I only bought this mower a few weeks ago and have used it only once. I've owned an EGO mower for 5 years and traded up to this one. It's more powerful, cuts my lawn more cleanly, and handles like a champ. I have lots of hills in my yard. It's a little heavier than my old one, but that's to be expected with the extra power and more powerful battery. I think it's the beginning of a long friendship.

Great Machine/Needs a Front Handle

Mike49 April 13, 2026

The mower works great. It’s a huge step up from the LM2130 I had previously. No complaints about the performance so far. The only issue I have is I can’t understand why EGO decided to not put a front handle on this model. They also need to start putting some type of strap or handle on their batteries.

Magical box fan that cuts my grass. So awesome!

Under8ed July 6, 2026

Purchase a year ago. I have a 1/4 acre lot, and the 10 amp battery is only 1/3 used up when I'm complete. I have a slight slope, but mostly for drainage. I rarely use the power drive and just simply push this. It feels so light. Not cheap light. The plastic is incredibly durable. The sound of pushing a box fan around the yard is so comforting. Note this was an upgrade from a nice Honda Gas lawnmower. Not that it was hard to use, or cumbersome. I honestly just wanted some space in garage, and this stored upright. Everything else above was a welcomed bonus. Just remember to store batteries untouched for the winter. (Unless you have the snowblower too) in which case rock on. That's later on my list.

Review

Trailboy89 July 5, 2026

so far it has worked well, I like the multiple height & mulch settings which allows the grass to remain longer. These adjustments compared to my previous mower results in reduced waste grass in my bin and better for the grass. I noticed the self propelled feature wants to remain engaged once you let off the touch drive and try to turn the mower which does not feel right.

POWER+ 22'' Super Composite Mower Review

Ego 1st Time User July 1, 2026

The mower battery works great. I have the 75-minute battery and I can cut my yard in about 1 hour with plenty of battery left. The cut is very good as well. The downside is the propulsion of the mower. The back wheel drive is difficult to maneuver if you do not have a simple rectangle to mow. The lack of the ability to pace the self-propelled aspect is also a negative. Basically, if you have a rectangle to mow, I highly recommend it. If you have lots of gardens and trees, I would wait until Ego catches up with the other companies and makes its mower more maneuverable. Great battery company but needs more time to perfect the self-propelled aspect of the mower.

Strong Performance with a Few Minor Trade-Offs

tbd4915 May 14, 2026

Solid upgrade from gas with great cut quality. The Select Cut system really helps tailor performance, and it handles thick grass fairly well. The Touch Drive self-propel takes a little getting used to but works well once you dial it in. Battery life is good for average lawns, though bigger yards will need a second battery. A couple minor quirks with the bag and weight, but overall a reliable, powerful mower.

My EGO lawn mower

butch70 July 6, 2026

So far this is a very nice mower. The charging is nice and fast with the 10-amp battery about 1 hour. The one think I do not like is the Touch Drive Self-Propelled system when stop and want to pull it backwards it locks up. I think it should be like when you disengage the system it should not lock up and it should be free to move.

Good performance, with a well known issue...

Uidualco June 24, 2026

The mower is powerful and does an excelent job for bagging/mulching. The major disappointment comes from the self-propelled engine, that makes a high-pitched whinny noise when engagged. This has been reported by many owners. I bought a more recent model hoping that Ego solved the issue (the motor was changed on some models) but no luck, the noise is still there. It is quite disappointing that Ego continues to sell mowers with a known issue...

Disappointing

Shoedog13 June 29, 2026

I bought this product 2 weeks ago and returned it after the first cut. The lawnmower is the most difficult to manuver that I have ever used and I've used numerous as I'm 73. Improvements; once you start the unit the blades should keep rotating until you shut it off. The handle angle should have 5 options not just 3. The rail lengths should be adjustable. Having to have them fully extended is ridiculous. Last, to dramatically improve maneuverability, front wheel drive
