This Ego battery delivers as advertised. Word of caution… if you have a REALLY large yard as we do, you may need two batteries to completely mow your yard in a single session or wait a bit for a single battery to recharge before you can complete the job. The Ego lawn mower is quiet and does a really nice job but I need approx 3 hours to mow our yard so I now use two batteries to cut down on the elapsed time rather than wait on a single battery to recharge.
I've had the LM2156SP 21 in. Lawn Mower for a few weeks now and I love the performance. It mulches better than my current gas mower (without clumps and without a clogged deck) and I love the fact that I can vary the forward speed. I also love the fact that I can set the grass cutting height precisely. It takes a little getting used to after working with gas mowers for years, but it's definitely worth the adjustment.
This 10Ah battery lasted as expected given my yard size and thickness of grass. I like the fuel meter for keeping track of battery usage. It worked very well in the 22" aluminum deck EGO mower. Recharging the battery took an acceptable amount of time. Time will tell regarding durability. Very expensive battery!!
The 10.0 Amp battery is perfect for my lot, which is a good sized city lot. Even when using the self propelled feature the majority of the time, I still have approx. 35% charge left when I am done. With that amount left, charging takes between 30 and 40 minute, using the 700 w charger.
The 7.5 amp-hour battery that came with my EGO mower died after 7 years of good work. I was going to buy a new 7.5 amp-hour battery but I decided to go for the 10 amp-hour model since it was on sales. The specs say that it's good for 90 minutes. It takes me 110 minutes to mow my large lot and I am able to do it in one go when the battery is fully charged. Great product!
This is my second Ego 10.0 Amp Hour Battery with Fuel Gauge. The first came with my Ego mower, and I bought this one to use with the Ego backpack blower. Both batteries work great. The mower runs through my whole yard on one charge, and the blower has plenty of power for longer cleanup jobs. The fuel gauge is handy because I can see how much charge is left without guessing. Both batteries charge up evenly and hold power well. Having two makes it easy to swap and keep going without waiting around. I'm glad I added the second battery. It's reliable, strong, and makes yard work a lot easier.
These 10 A battries are just awesome, I had 4.0 A batteries and they were sucks on my snow blower. With these battries I am able to clean my both the driveways on one charge.
I've only used this once so far but I followed the instructions and charged it up all the way to 100% and then waited at least an hour before using it to mow my lawn. I desperately needed a new battery since I did terrible things to my original 7.5 amp power battery but I must say now that I've learned lessons and I'm trying harder to treat these batteries better I was still quite underwhelmed with the capacity of my 10 amp hour battery and how long it lasted. We'll see how future sessions go.
Received a used battery from Miviplatz supply. They insisted that they only sell new batteries, but it had a manufactured date in 2024 (purchased in 2026), was dirty, plastic was stressed, and had a smell.
Item received was not manufactured for the USA market. I shared a photo of it with Ego Power support and learned its serial number prefix, (ABA) could not be registered in the USA and thus could not receive any support or warranty. It also is defective, blinks a constant green, and arrived in a very worn box which had been opened. I am in need of a full refund.
