Having so much fun with it, light weight and perfect for my yard cleanup. Have a trimmer and leaf blower too. Love Ego products, so easy to use, no mess gas and oil anymore, and the difference in weight vs gas product's is such a bonus when your a female:)
Love the saw. Don't love how the sawdust that gets into the saw gets soaked in chain oil and clogs the whole thing up. I have to take it apart after all my firewood is cut for the day and clean it out. I guess I wasn't manually adding enough oil with my previous saw because it never made the sawdust oily.
We use ego weed eaters, mowers, Z6, but I've been a chainsaw 2 stroke man for 50+ years. Now I'm old and bleed easy from stuff I never had a problem with but pulling a starter was drawing blood too often. Got the 12 “ because it matched in size my Stihl MS150. I'm impressed with the ego - 2.5 battery = about the same as a tank of gas. Equal if not better performance.
We just purchased a 2.7 acre lot and are building a home on it. It has a lot of brush and small trees that we wanted to remove. My wife wanted a chainsaw so we got her the EGO 12-inch Compact Chain Saw. It is slick! It makes quick work of the 2-4 inch diameter branches (like butter) and dead trees and is light enough and balanced enough for her to easily and safely use it. We will be getting a larger model, but for now, this one is a perfect fit!

I've used this saw a bit for light trimming and cutting down small trees. I liked the way it handled, plenty of power. Not going to miss dealing with liquid fuels. Also, no exhaust fumes to impregnate your clothing with that smell combo of mixed gas and oil.
Love this little guy! Perfect for limbing and for the smaller trunks. Lots of battery life, too. I have two new EGO saws. One thing I have learned is that they require some under-the-cover cleaning after EACH use. A lot of oily sawdust accumulates that can't be left in there. It's easy enough to do. Remove the cover, clean out the guck with a screw driver and a brush, wipe it all off with a rag, put it back together. Recharge the battery. Easy.
Works better than any chainsaw I have used! I own multiple Ego products and they are all awesome but this chain saw is my favorite! It cuts like butter and my boyfriend and sister were fighting over who got to use it next! Now it's on a loner schedule for family! Ha!
I got this to help clear small trees and brush. It works great - easy to use, cuts well, quiet - some much more pleasant to use than my gas saw. This is my third EGO tool (leaf blower, hedge trimmers) - I have been happy with all of them. I wish I had invested in this saw earlier!
I had to continually adjust chain to prevent separating from the bar but it worked well otherwise trimming down small scrub bushes along my property. The only downside was battery life. I Used two batteries to complete this project as the chainsaw would deplete them fairly quickly.
