Love the saw. Don't love how the sawdust that gets into the saw gets soaked in chain oil and clogs the whole thing up. I have to take it apart after all my firewood is cut for the day and clean it out. I guess I wasn't manually adding enough oil with my previous saw because it never made the sawdust oily.
Having so much fun with it, light weight and perfect for my yard cleanup. Have a trimmer and leaf blower too. Love Ego products, so easy to use, no mess gas and oil anymore, and the difference in weight vs gas product's is such a bonus when your a female:)
We use ego weed eaters, mowers, Z6, but I've been a chainsaw 2 stroke man for 50+ years. Now I'm old and bleed easy from stuff I never had a problem with but pulling a starter was drawing blood too often. Got the 12 “ because it matched in size my Stihl MS150. I'm impressed with the ego - 2.5 battery = about the same as a tank of gas. Equal if not better performance.
Works better than any chainsaw I have used! I own multiple Ego products and they are all awesome but this chain saw is my favorite! It cuts like butter and my boyfriend and sister were fighting over who got to use it next! Now it's on a loner schedule for family! Ha!
I love my EGO lawnmower so much that I bought a few other EGO products but the chainsaws are the most impressive of them all. I bought 2, one 20" for my sons to use and a 12" that I can use for pruning. We are all impressed with tools that make our work more enjoyable. Thank you.
Lightweight, I used it one handed for bucking long limbs quickly and will use it for limbing. The saw is surprisingly fast and the battery is capable. The tool free tensioning is very convenient. Thought I would be wanting for the new batteries to trickle down from the pro line but this one has exceeded my expectations as is.
Great little saw. Nice and light, but lots of cutting power. This is my first electric saw and I bought it because my big Stihl has gotten too heavy for me to work with for long periods and because I'm no longer felling trees. For trimming branches and for general cleanup, this saw is great. I like that unlike a gas saw, when it's off, it's off. Really easy adjustment on the chain tension...no tools needed. I may buy an extra chain...
We primarily purchased this chainsaw for both my husband and me to use for yard clean up. We live on a wooded lot and sometimes storm damage requires a bit more than picking up branches. This chainsaw is light enough for me to use and powerful enough for the small trees that we've lost this spring.
I had to continually adjust chain to prevent separating from the bar but it worked well otherwise trimming down small scrub bushes along my property. The only downside was battery life. I Used two batteries to complete this project as the chainsaw would deplete them fairly quickly.
I was working very well having made about 8 cuts across the trunks of multi-trunk with trunks from 4 inches to 8 inches in diameter. Suddenly the blade went dull and wouldn't cut much of anything. Didn't notice anything unusual with the last successful cut.
