Ego Power+ 16 Chainsaw Kit

Already got some heavy use when a huge tree came down on my land. Got the whole thing cleaned up on one full battery. Great power. I did have the chain come off once when it snagged on a twig but that happens with any chainsaw. The thing is, I put the chain back on in record time without any tools thanks to the tool less disassembly. Easy and quick.

High winds had uprooted a 30ft pine tree on my property and, of course, I needed a durable tool for cutting and clean up. So, after extensive research on the internet for battery or gas powered chain saws in the 14 to 16 inch range, I decided to purchase the EGO POWER+ 16" Chain Saw (40cc) with battery and charger (kit) I must say, this had to be one of the best purchases I've made for yard maintenance. Built solid, low noise, easy maintenance. Gets the job done. Extended run time power with battery options

Bought this several weeks ago to cut away fallen tree. It cut smoothly and without the loudness and vibration found with gas powered chainsaws. Have owned multiple different types of chainsaws and will not go back to gas operated after using this one.

So i'm going to start off with this chainsaw is a great tool even though it's battery powered scott , great handling , nice kick of power downside , do not use ego chain and bar lube , it gums up will not run in lubricate chain , use regular chain and bar lube , I learned the hard way and had to replace a chain , but I still decided to give it a five star , because after I replaced the lube and chain , it runs great and very little resistance when cutting.

I was impressed with the saws capabilities. I had a 20 year old pear tree in my back yard fall over due to storm damage and bought the saw to cut up the tree. I made short work of cutting the tree into pieces and only used up about 40% of the battery. Well worth the money!!

The saw is everything I wanted and needed. For my first outing, I used it to cut through BIG logs. it did a great job. Cut smoothly, didn't vibrate. And best of all - I wore out before the saw did - the battery still had 40% left! So glad I made the switch from gasoline - much less noise, no smell, easy to start. Better for the environment. A great purchase!!

I needed a replacement for my gas powered chainsaw. After using this saw for two days, it is clearly up to the task. If you already have EGO power equipment and batteries, this is the saw to buy. The 2.5 AH battery will do well for routine home clean up but the 5 AH is recommended for heavier work and the 7.5 AH for serious cutting. As with most saws, keep the chain tension correct to prevent the chain from dislogging. If I could improve one thing it would be to increase the chain lubrication. I prefer 2x the amount of oil on my chain and bar. To be clear, if I had to spend an entire day in the backwoods continuously cutting, I would grab a gas saw. For everything else, this will be my go to saw.

Bought this this for use on our farm and I don't think our gas saws will get used much anymore. Used it right away to take care of a few fallen trees from storm damage and thought i'd for sure need to charge the battery midway through but after limbing all the trees and cutting the trunks into firewood the battery was at 50% - couldn't believe it. Also love the ability to just drop the saw and adjust the logs without it loudly idling like gas saws.

Have used maybe 6-8 times so far and seems to work pretty well. Not sure it could tackle a tree but handy for smaller branches and brush. Slightly heavier than I expected (I also have a gas one) but appreciate the battery. This is my 4th EGO tool and I'm a fan.

I have not actually used it yet but did assemble it and put ego bar oil in it before running it several times. It is louder than I expected but feels very powerful. This is my second EGO tool. I purchased the saw because of my experience with their hedge trimmer. I expect my experience will be the same or better. It is solidly built and very comfortable to hold and use. Vibration is much less than I expected. I will update my review after I use it in my yard. I was absolutely done with trying to start my 2 well maintained, never abused gas powered saws. I may replace other gas powered tools if I like this saw as much as I expect to. Trimmer? Blower? Riding mower? Hmmmmmm
