EGO Power+ 16 Inch Powerload String Trimmer With Telescopic Carbon Fiber Shaft (Bare Tool)

The string trimmer has plenty of power, easy to load fresh string, and about the same weight as my old Echo ICE trimmer. Somehow I wasn't as tired with the EGO trimmer after Spring Cleaning the meadow in the back of my home. I felt like bumping the button on the head was not adequate to get the line to feed but I have only used it twice so we are still getting to know each other. The 4AH battery had plenty of juice to do my 1/2 acre yard.

Great product. I have an EGO mower and blower. I had a gas trimmer and I got tired of every year having to mess with gas and oil and it not starting. Not to mention the hassle of line spooling. I'm glad I switched. This is no much easier to use. The ability to switch from high to low power is fantastic. Very happy with my purchase so far!

56 year-old homeowner here purchased because it had great reviews for being easy to use lightweight. Just took it for a test run and within 30 minutes the string boat broke three times on the top wind. It is a pain in the butt to disconnect the spool and re-thread the cable would not recommend for anybody that has any kind of landscaping brick fence or rock or fence post. Worthless.

I broke my previous EGo Power Trimmer which worked flawlessly for 5 years. This new 16" Power Trimmer is AWESOME! Feels lighter, 2 speeds and very quiet. Was skeptical of the telescoping shaft but it is appreciated! Perfect length now for me with zero bending over. Battery life goes further too. EGo managed to make a good thing better! Highly recommended!!

I own a mower, 2 snow blowers, a hedge trimmer, and a leaf blower all made by Ego. I am a fan of Ego products and frequently recommend them to my friends and neighbors. This one, my sixth Ego purchase is a disappointment. We had a 5 year old trimmer from an inferior brand that barely holds a charge but we prefer it to this tool. The Power + 16" POWERLOAD trimmer feels unbalanced and difficult to use. It may be that this is simply a tool that needs more practice and I will grow to appreciate it. But out of the box and into my third practice session I am underwhelmed and disappointed. I feel like the tool shares the build quality of other Ego products but something in the design could have been better.

This product out of the box felt worthy of its price point, This also has a lot of torque and fyi buy the strap to help with holding it so it'll be easier to control. Very strong and performs very well! Length adjustment is nice and well balance! The carbon fiber shaft is a welcomed light weight

I'm really impressed with the power of the EGO string trimmer. It cuts through weeds and grass with ease, and I was able to get my entire yard done in one go. This was my second purchase because I was not able to get a head replacement. The battery life is excellent (it was replaced because the first battery didn't work). The only downside is that it's a little bit heavy for me (I am an old lady, 5'4" tall), especially if you're carrying it for an extended period. However, the performance and efficiency more than make up for that. Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase and would definitely recommend it!

This is a good trimmer. Wish it included a strap. Weight is not bad, but could be a little better. Have not had to load additional string yet. Will see how that goes before determining my final rating. For the price this is a very good battery powered trimmer.

Ok so it works great.....why they made it spin the opposite of every other trimmer is a question. It works great,loading line is a breeze. Bit why spin clock wise ? That would be my only complaint. I use a 56volt 5.6Amp bat I cut 1600 sq ft w my mower trimmer and blower and still have left over power. I do recommend, just need to get use to the reverse operation of the trimmer head otherwise yes its a very good investment. Grade = A

The good: my HIGH hopes, after using a previous model for 6 very successful years! The bad: the powerload feature NEVER worked! Not once. After one day's use, attempts to then re-load the head with new line never worked. I'd like to think it was user error, but it seems that there's just not much room for it when it only requires passing a line through the head's eyelet, balancing its length on either side, and pressing a button...a button which never wound any line...ever...even after taking it apart multiple times to ensure it was clean. SO frustrated! Hopefully Ego will help me remedy the situation.
