I was actually super skeptical at first since it was battery powered. But I love this thing. No back pain, jealous looks from neighbors, and hand warmers. I use it every time it snows. It works for dealing with the wet heavy snow that the plows leave at the end of your drive way as well. Its awesome. i look forward to the snow now :)
Love Love the Ego products and have most of them for yard work. Moving from Georgia to NW Indiana I knew I would need snow removal equipment. I checked the ratings for a snowblower and found that EGO 24" self-propelled snow blower had a great rating. So here I am writing a review. Love the fact I can use it myself at 71. It may seem a bit pricy but the savings is NO gas, NO oil, No Tune-up and most of all No pull start. Once again I'm loving the brand. Thank you, EGO
I already had an EGO lawn mower and it worked very well, so I thought I take a chance on a snowblower. I already have a heavy duty gasser blower, but wanted something for the lighter snows, and to clear smaller areas. This unit works perfect for that!
Set up was easy. I have only used the tool once in minimal snowfall, but it worked fantastic. I did manage to hit some concrete with the auger on the first operation, but other than some missing paint I think it is fine. I have a 6 car driveway, my batteries still had 2/3 of there charge after completing the driveway. The heated grips were a wonderful feature
I've been looking to get an EGO for years now but with limited amount of snow that we do get every year I didn't think it was worth it. I was wrong. This unit packs a punch with 4-6” deep snow with ease. The heavy wet and icy snow that plow leaves at the bottom of the driveway is not a problem. Battery performance is decent if you run the auger on high speed it will drain faster, but you just need to play around and find what works for you. Never have I wanted it to snow more now. I would highly recommend this product, it was the steel auger that did it for me.
The EGO Snowblower is lightweight yet powerful, with a durable metal chute and hand warmers that work well. However, the machine doesn't lock in the folded position despite following the manual, which seems like a defect.I can adjust it to lock but then the handles in the upright position becomes loose and wobbly. I saw others have the same issue. I also had a broken lever right out of the box. On the plus side, EGO support was fantastic, quickly replacing the lever within two days. I have multiple ego products and this was the first time dealing with support. Will update once we get some snows.
Works as expected for a single stage snow blower. Heated grips work well. Its first test was very heavy wet snow so batteries were drained faster (to be expected). Seems well made & thoughtfully put together. Easy setup. Would purchase again based on first use.
I will wait to pass jugement on this machine. But I can say that initially I am not impressed. The snowblower stopped working after about 10 minutes even though the batterys are charged. I recharaged them and the same thing happened. I appears that the vibrtations loosen the connections.
Used the machine for the first time with the big East Coast storm of 26 did great till after the first to run one of the two 6.0 batteries failed just died no light wouldn't charge nothing not a good sign for a alternative fuel source. Lucky I have other ego products so I had back up. They did replace the battery under warranty but still shouldnt have a failure that quick I do love all there products
I own an EGO lawnmower and love it—it's been running for six years without issue. That's why I decided to buy this 2024 EGO snowblower, and I'm regretting my decision. The speed control switch sticks and I had to apply so much force to change the switch position that I thought I might break it. The product description that it can clean a 14-car driveway with 8" of snow is ridiculous. I have a medium-sized garage driveway and we had about 7" of snow and the batteries died halfway through.
