1100 series hits it out of the park!

SilverFox57 May 5, 2026

I had been researching this model for quite some time to replace my previous 21” select cut. It was a tough decision to make between this and 1000 series, but I felt the aluminum deck and the slightly more torque was worth the extra money. Getting close to 70 years old, I do find this one to be a lot heavier than my previous mower, but I will get used to it. The quiet operation and the great cut definitely do not disappoint. Given that I currently have an early hand held blower, a backpack blower, the multi head with the snow shovel, articulating hedge trimmer with extension and rotating brush attachments, the 24” snow blower, a trimmer, chainsaw, hedge trimmer and, of course my 1100 series mower (plus my previous 21” select cut), I have a lot of experience with Ego machines! A friend, who had been speaking to me about my happiness with the Ego products, ended up buying the 1000 series when I bought my 1100 series. I am selling my previous 21” select cut to a neighbour - he has borrowed it several times so he will be happy to have it for himself. It sure would be awesome to receive a complimentary Ego hat and/or gloves to proudly wear while I use your products! I have been a happy user since around 2014/15.

Impressed with the design and construction!

Larry26 April 23, 2026

I am impressed with the quality of design and construction. This 22" EGO mower with aluminum deck performed very well in cutting about 3" of thick grass on my 12,000 square foot lawn (#2 for blade speed with moderate walking pace). It had plenty of power to cut and propel the mower through the thick grass and over my flat and moderately sloped yard. I especially like the dual buttons for activating the power propelled feature. It did take some getting used to releasing the power propel feature about a foot or so before the end of a cut in order to change direction without the rear wheels locking up. But that came quickly. I changed out the 10Ah battery with one segment left on the fuel meter in order to help preserve the battery. The backup second 10Ah battery used only one segment to complete the mowing. I did, however, have an issue with strips of grass left partially cut. When I mowed for the second time about a week later, about 3" of grass was cut as well. This time, I slowed the pace down one notch, also with #2 blade speed. Going at a slower pace pretty much eliminated the partially cut strips. As a result, the battery required two additional fuel segments to complete the yard, probably because the blade was spinning for a longer period of time. For me, the slightly heavier aluminum deck 22" mower probably worked better than the composite deck mowers would have because the weight of the mower deck helped offset the weight of the grass in the large grass catcher bag hanging off the back of the mower. Just remember to register your product within the 90 days required. Overall, I'm very pleased with this mower, my first battery powered mower after 50 years of using gas mowers!

Good mower except for price

PJ144 April 24, 2026

Good: So I’m writing this review after using the lawnmower twice. The cut is amazing. I have three older model ego push mowers and they all create “Mohawks” and it requires you to give the same area twice. This mower is doesn’t. This thing is super heavy duty. Now for the bad: Price! This mower is expensive. Also, why do all companies that make battery products lie about their range? I have a .3 acre yard and I have a tough time finishing it with the included 10AH battery. Some could argue that it is too heavy. I’m ok with the weight.

POWER+ 22” Aluminum Deck Select Cut

Anonymous April 21, 2026

One 10Ah battery easily cuts my 1/3 acre lawn and some of my neighbors. I have a second 10Ah to complete the next lawn. Wheel bearings are good enough not to use the drive. It has more useable cutting torque than the old gas mower it replaced. Mulch, bag and side discharge all work well. I'm impressed.

My lawn looks like green velvet!

Granny Mac May 12, 2026

I purchased my lawnmower about 2 weeks ago. It takes about 45 minutes to cut my yard and by the end of the first cut I felt comfortable with the self propell feature and maneuvering the lawnmower around corners. I can cut the whole yard on blade speed 2 and still have 50% battery power left. The cut left behind is beautifully smooth even though my yard is not smooth. It is louder than I expected and heavy to maneuver in tight areas. I am still getting used to it, but I can't say enough about the cut.

Great mowing power, very happy with this mower

JimMB60 June 3, 2026

Bought this mower because i wanted more cutting power ( torque) than my previous mower ( an entry level EGO) so i could scalp my grass at the beginning on the cutting season. I am very impressed and pleased with this mowers ability to cut. It has 8 height adjustments so i can be more precise with the cutting level and take less grass height off at a time. I am happy with the run time of the 10amp battery, that came with the mower. I have a 5amp battery from my previous mower, it, as expected, provides about half the run time of the 10amp. The 5amp does not provide enough run time on this mower. I am using the 2 blade system with the high lift blade. Very impressed with the cutting and the vacuum it provides, really captures the clippings and fills the bag well. This bag holds a good bit more than my previous EGO entry level mower. This is my first self propelled mower so i had to get used to that, but that learning curve was short and easy. I have been cutting my grass for over 30 years, so i have had a number of mowers over the years. I am very pleased with this mower.

Outstanding mower

srf512 May 28, 2026

Our Ego 22” aluminum deck mower is outstanding and I highly recommend it. Here's why we chose it: 1. It needed enough torque and weight to blast through ½ acre of thick St Augustine grass. 2. It needed to precisely mulch grass as well as the gas-powered Snapper it was replacing. 3. The mower needed to store compactly and be manageable for a 70 year old. The Ego overachieved on all the criteria. Other positives: 1. You can use your phone to check the wifi -connected charger to see when your battery is fully charged. 2. The battery is fully compatible with my leaf blower. 3. Walking speed is fully adjustable from slow walking to very fast walking. The blade has 3 speeds but I've only used the lowest setting. Negatives: 1. The 10aH battery runs for about 45 minutes at the slowest blade speed. I needed to switch batteries to complete the final 10 minutes of my ½ acres. Thankfully, the Ego package deal included an additional 5aH battery which is more than enough to finish. It will be interesting to see how it does during autumn leaf mulching season. 2. The aluminum deck is heavy (which I wanted) so it takes 2 people to lift if you want to transport it. The good news is that the deck has a lifetime warranty. 3. It's expensive. I looked at a lot of candidates when searching for a mower and am very pleased with this one.

Love this mower so far!

Gonzos April 20, 2026

I used a Honda rear bagger for 16 years and because of lung problems I needed to get away from exhaust fumes. I found a decent buy and took advantage of it. This machine is very easy to operate, moves as fast as you want, mulches very nicely in turbo speed, folds down to an easy to store size, and doesn't need fuel or oil! I couldn't be happier.

EGO POWER

Anonymous May 24, 2026

For power and reliability, trust EGO! I was very skeptical about switching to a battery powered mower. Now I have been mowing for with gas mowers for 52 years. They don't make them to last anymore. My EGO power+ 22 inch mower is a quality built product and I am quite pleased with this machine. I'm very confident that it will provide years of trouble free service. The mower is very powerful and cuts thick grass like a hot knife through butter!

Finally lost the whine!

Anonymous May 1, 2026

Every Spring for at least the past 5 years, I have dug into detailed reviews of Ego mower models. The most valuable videos highlighted the sound of each mower. I refused to buy one until Ego's design lost the high pitched whine, because I could never tolerate that. Finally this year, model LM2206SP Ver B is the winner! I finally made the purchase. The mower is great in so many ways: the duration on the included 10mA battery, the cut quality with no grass "mohawks", the ease of the self-propelled feature, the simplicity in design of almost everything. And of course I love the simple operation to start, stop, engage blades, etc. with no need for gas, oil, and spark plug maintenance. The only downside is the weight of the mower, which takes more effort to turn than my gas-powered Honda, and the placement of the buttons to activate the self-propel feature can tire the thumbs or hand muscles. However, that is a small price to pay and I am happy I took the plunge. It is a pleasure to use this mower.
