EGO Power+ 5 Ah Battery And 56V Standard Charger Starter Kit

I am just replacing my 4.0 Amp EGO battery after 4 years. It stopped holding much of a charge. This new 5.0 Amp battery lasts longer than the 4.0 ever did (as expected) and I can't notice the increased weight. Best to watch for a sale, though. I found this cheaper with the charger included than purchasing just the battery. I love everything about all my EGO outdoor appliances, but dread the day that my 10.0 Amp battery that I use in my lawn mower needs to be replaced.

This 5.0 Amp Hour battery holds a charge impressively well, powering my trimmer and blower through all my yard tasks without needing a recharge. The standard charger is straightforward to use and keeps my equipment ready to go whenever I need it. I'm very satisfied with the build quality and the consistent, reliable performance this starter kit delivers.

I noticed after receipt of the “new” battery that there was a manufacture date of 2024. I'm concerned that the longevity of the battery could be affected since it's technically 2 years old already. Shelf life of Lithium Ion batteries can range from 3 to 5 years so does EGO share my concern?

Surprisingly good power and battery life. Ergonomics were good, specially with the optional AP1500 shoulder strap. The included line performed well enough however I'm expecting far better results from aftermarket options such as the MaxPower 338814 I ordered along with the trimmer. This is the 3rd Ego product I've purchased along with my chainsaw and mower so I'm obviously a fan of this system and will not miss my gas tools.

I really like the new eGo 5 Ah battery. I bought the new eGo 765 cfm blower which takes the 5 Ah battery. I also took advantage of the offer of a free battery with purchase. That one is a 2.5 Ah battery similar to the ones I bought for my original eGo blower, which still works perfectly. They had to mail the 2.5 to me. It was delivered in a few days.

After I charged the battery the initial lawn cut was a neighbor's back yard with overgrown lawn placed mower deck to the 2nd lowest setting left the mulch plug in the mower deck. The back yard is approx. 12'x60' got 30 minutes of use from the battery i was very impressed. Cut my own yard the next day after an overnight charge and used 1/4 of the battery power with mulch plug in place .

I am new to the battery-powered lawn tools world and I must say that I am impressed with this brand and equipment. The lawnmower cuts beautifully, the weed eater is amazing and the blower is very powerful. These tools are quiet and are amazingly efficient. Battery power was more than enough to do what was needed and had bars left.

My new battery is great so far. The issue I have is with Ego support. I called because there was an issue with my previous battery. They had me run a time test, which I did, and Ego wanted me to send the result to them. After I did, I received another email that said that my attempt to send the communication "has been closed and cannot receive this message." Battery gets four stars; Ego support gets zero stars. Two charger and two batteries. Both 5 amp batteries allow me to do my entire driveway and sidewalks on one charge if there is about 4-5 inches of snow moderate snow. Our driveway is about 25 car spots so given the area, I'm pleased with what I am able to do. A second set of batteries should allow me to do anything we get hit with. Chargers are fairly fast, so overall a good purchase.

This (trimmer/blower combo) is my third EGO purchase in 12 months. I'm completely satisfied with the first 2 (mower, trimmer/blower combo), but this battery was 21 months old when purchased and it doesn't have the capacity as the NEW batteries sold with the other purchases.
