EGO Power+ 500 Cfm Leaf Vacuum And Mulcher With Blower (Bare Tool)

Works like a bear with maple leaves. Just much heavier than needed for homeowners use. Seems heavier than the Stihl gas powered blower vac. Probably better suited for commercial use as well built and bulky. Not easy for the wife it was bought for.

I've been waiting for this model since I sold my Stihl model many years ago. It works great, strong suction, a huge debris capacity, and easy to use and quiet. The bulk of the bag can make it hard to get into tight spaces, so raking or blowing leaves from those spots will be needed. im very happy with it.

I had recommended this tool a few years back. I was holding off in buying a blower and waiting for this combination of blower / vacuum. It works great!

I purchased this long-awaited EGO device after many years of using a comparable SunJoe that finally broke--and the bag replacement was no longer available. I already own an EGO weed wacker (and a lawn mower with bigger batteries) so I was able to share the former's battery with this new device--a big savings and benefit. I've only used the blower so far so my review is limited to that. The device is very easy to assemble and use. It is powerful and quiet, and the air stream is concentrated. I like the ability to hold the trigger or set it to a constant air speed/volume. EGO batteries are much more robust than SunJoe batteries. The neck strap is adjustable and I wish it were better suited for ergonomic positioning, but not a big deal. I'm looking forward to the leaf vac and mulcher being similarly easy and reliable to use this autumn, and I'll update this review at that time.

I need this unit because I have leaves, adjustable vac suction power is a good feature, using harness is a must given the physical design & weight distribution with battery, the standard battery should be the 7.5 Amp, the 5.0 drains within 30-45 min, mulching is very good so far.

Like the power and the overall product. Not sure I'll use the blower because I have a stand alone EGO blower. But love not having a cord to contend with when using the vacuum. Only complaint is that the overall weight with the battery is on the heavy side and will limit the amount of time I can use it during one session.

I've waited years for this and was so excited when it became available in the USA. It functions very well as far a picking up leaves etc. without picking up rock or other unwanted items. There are two problems however. First; the tube is too long and you need to be at least 6 feet tall to use it comfortably. I'm 5'8" and it is a pain to use. The second is the weight. It is quite heavy, especially if you use the recommended 6Ah battery, I went with 2.5Ah and it is a bit more manageable from a weight perspective. Overall I have found myself using it les than I would like to because of the length and the weight, I'm a bit disappointed. Knowing what I know now, I probably would not have bought it.

I basically bought it for the vacuum function which works well. However, the biggest drawback is the size of the device including bag, nozzle and battery which makes in ergonomically difficult to use. It very bulky andI found it difficult to move around and vacuum debris. With that said, I'll use when I have a pile of debris that needs to be mulched. That feature works well but be careful what's in the pile- the vacuum is for leaves and small lawn waste. Larger pieces will be trouble.

Only used it once so far. Excellent suction and construction. The only reason I haven't give a 4 or a 5 star was it to much on the heavy side to operate for a long period of time. I will have to find a way to better use the shoulder strap and see if it will help or not

Great suction but unit is heavy and hard to manage. Bag placement makes it difficult to vacuum under structures as bag hits ground impacting suction hose angle. I would recommend placing bag on top if possible. also maybe change location of strap locations to even out weight better. Maybe something on bag as well
