EGO Power+ 52 Inch Zero Turn Riding Mower Kit

We just did our first cut, (about an acre with hills). It handled and cut the grass better than expected. It shreds the grass very well (we have the mulching kit, which we highly recommend). The grass was a little higher than usual and I expected clumps of grass left behind like our previous much more expensive non batter zero turn would produce. It maneuvers well and it the major concern was the hills which it handled pretty well due to the new updated wider base. We appreciate the quietness and the control lcd screen is very intuitive and not overwhelming, easy to remember what to press. The batteries only used about 50% of power, probably less next time because I took extra time as I was trying to get use to everything. It is also easy to adjust the deck height, easy to get in and out of, easy access to batteries too. I also appreciate a place to put my cell phone, in one of two storage areas, so it does not fall out on the grass. There are two cup holders for different needs. the hose attachment to help clean underneath was also a genius idea! Ego engineering so far has signaled to my family that they put a lot of thought into making the best needs and quality for a highly functional and hopefully long-term product including a continued buying relationship. Before I forget, my spouse suggested that the hitch be updated to a heftier one that will use 2" ball attachments. thank you

I like the EGO riding mower very much. The individual motors for each blade works very well. It is great how quiet it is. The seat is comfortable and the suspension is ample. I am 6 foot 2 at 255 lbs and it accommodates me very well. I mow just over one acre of lawn. If I keep the blade speed at low, I can just finish my whole lawn. I prefer not to do my whole lawn at once anyway. If I had to split it over two days that is fine with me. Because of that I selected model with six 10 AH batteries.

I ran into a kerfluffle during assembly, mostly my error. I installed the large arms inside the attachment points instead of outside. They were hitting each other. Once corrected, no further problems. Charging is extremely simple as the charger plugs into the mower just like an EV. At first I used it in Control mode. Once I mowed my lawn I stepped it up to Standard mode. I love that I don't have to wear hearing ear plugs and such. When the blades are not on there is almost no sound. The sound of the blades when turned on is totally acceptable. As with all zero turn mowers, you have to get a feel for the machine and become accustomed to it. I was amazed at the high quality of construction. The mower is very sturdy and well designed. I thought I'd have to buy knobby rear tires for it until I used it and learned they are not necessary. It handles all the slopes beautifully. I actually look forward to mowing the lawns of our 2 acre property with more than its share of slopes. The ST5216L model with 6 10.0AH batteries works well for me beyond my expectations.

I love it! I got the hang of the zero turn right away! It's so easy to maneuver in my yard, which has lots of trees and flower beds.

Love my new Ego Zero Turn mower! I got the 52" deck and added the mulching conversion. It has cut my mowing time in half.

Overall good. Wheels are small and tend to spin on hills or wet grass

I have only had it for a few weeks, but so far it is very good with a couple of short-comings. The seat is too low, and I don't see any adjustment for height. I am not unusually tall at 6', but I have a hard time standing up because I am so low down. The power and speed are great, but the steering will take time to get used to. It would be nice if it was adjustable, since it requires a very light touch when turning. I have to drive it on the lowest speed to avoid having accidents. The brake pedal is in an awkward position, which combined with the tricky steering makes it a bit dangerous. I would also prefer a separate gas pedal, again because of the steering issues. Finally, last year's model came with 12Amp batteries, and this only came with 10Amp batteries. The 12Amp should have been offered as an option. Mine is rated at 3 acres, but that must be for level lawns. Mine is at a bit of a slope and I only had 20% battery remaining after cutting my 1.5 acres. On a more positive note, it so silent running without the blades. I still use ear plugs with the blades running, but much quieter than my gas tractor. The cut is also much cleaner than my gas powered tractor for some reason. I was also able to haul a small trailer full of logs with no problem. I would have rather had a tractor, but the EGO models did not have a wide cutting deck or hold many batteries. In summary, I would have rather had a tractor for seating position and handling, but it is way better than my gas tractor.

Bought my 2 yrs ago. Had to buy another set of 12ah batteries to finish my 3 acre lawn. The advertising mis represents what the machine is capable of. The company was very hard to deal with to get second set of batteries at a reasonable price. I rate the whole experience as 1.
