EGO POWER+ 56V Interchangeable Power Head 15" String Trimmer & 8" Edger Kit W/ 5.0Ah Battery

I've replaced a corded edger and a gas trimmer with one battery operated tool with different attachable tool heads. Going to replace my 15 year old battery lawn mower with an ego also. Low maintenance, no fuel to mess with and no hard starts / pulls. Battery operated is the way to go.

Love this equipment! The interchangeability of the tool makes this an efficient setup running off of a very powerful motor. I wish I hadn't waited so long to buy it! One minor nit to pick is that the batter is heavy making it back-end heavy. Once you get used to the balance, it's not an issue.

I had been using a corded electric edger, gas trimmer, and gas blower. Due to the effort involved, I can't say I edged or trimmed regularly enough to have the sort of lawn I desired. Driving an battery powered electric vehicle, I knew the convenience, power, and performance that a battery powered solution could provide. I choose EGO products because they were serious tools. My live on a curve so our front yard is very wide...we have 4 across the street neighbors. I've really been blown away with how good these tools are. The batteries are extremely easy to charge and install. The edger and trimmer are easy to exchange. There is enough power to get the job done and it's very controllable. With gas, it was more difficult to get the right amount of power for the job. These tools provide much more control. The batteries are more than enough even for my wide yard. In all, the best lawn tool's I've owned. For some reason, I was a little doubtful at first even though I'd experienced the joy of owning an electric vehicle. Once I snapped out of my doubt, I've never looked back. Do yourself a favor and go electric. You won't regret it unless you enjoy messing around mixing gas and oil and getting engines to start.

I finally used the trimmer section. The guard is small. This trimmer throws grass clipping everywhere. Do not have kids around and wear full PPE. This one will throw clipping to your face. The edger works great, no complaints. I own the Power+ 15 string trimmer, this works perfectly. If there was a wider replacement guard, I would give five stars.

Have used the trimmer a few times and it works well with good battery power and relatively fast charging. It worked well cutting down an overgrown tall grass area at the high speed. One downside is that due to the battery weight it weighs more than a traditional gas powered straight shaft trimmer, which can make it more challenging for females or young teenagers to operate. I haven't used the edger attachment yet to see how strong its motors can power through the earth when edging.

Used for the first time last week. Edged first then used trimmer. Both worked well. The battery didn't last as long as I anticipated it would. Fortunately, we have other products so I was able to grab another battery and keep working.

Works great. More power than I expected. Battery lasts a bit shorter than I expected. For the price, I think they could have included a shoulder strap.

I am a female gardener/landscaper of 5'5" and I would really like the handle to be slightly telescoping to accommodate a user's height (I have the mower as well and this would be a welcome addition to the design!). Also I would like to see a alternative battery size shipping with the kit. The 5 Amp is a bit heavy and I will be buying a 2.5Ah to lighten it up for me. I really do love the edger and I will be using it to cut the grass along the edges rather than doing what a lot of gardeners do, which is (awkwardly) turning the unit sideways. Otherwise power is great, design is 4/5, love that the charger will fit any of the batteries.

I like this kit. The 2 attachments are easy to remove, but not so easy to assemble at times. You need to take your time when attaching them. The control head and battery make this rather heavy. Unfortunately the strap from the blower doesn't work on this piece of equipment. All in all, I'd buy it again.

Only a year old and power head failed. Skip I took to based on EGO direction doesn't do support. Had to drive another 30 miles and was told they are trying to be setup but weren't approved yet. Unit is still sitting there with no feedback.
