Ego Power+ Cordless Hedge Trimmer Kit 25In

I've been using this EGO hedge trimmer for 3 years now. Every time I use it is a pleasure. My previous trimmer was a Stihl. It was a powerful, but loud tool. The EGO has every bit the torque and power as the Stihl, without the noise and maintenance. I love the swivel handle. It allows a comfortable hand position whether you're cutting vertically or horizontally. Now that the growing season is over it's so nice not to have to winterize a gas motor. Just spray the blades with Tri Flow to prevent corrosion and hang it up till next summer. I couldn't be happier with my EGO hedge trimmer. And this is not a compensated review. I just like EGO tools.

This things amazing saves so much time not having to bump it and the string always full length. Plus battery last forever. It blew my mind something so simple is so good

I had a corded trimmer for years and it no longer does the job adequately since the blade is only 18" long and the hedges' sizes well exceeded it's cutting limit. This 25" trimmer is a god send! The longer blade and cordless features together with the rotatable handle make trimming so much easier and the results are amazing! I am also glad that I choose this heavy duty model rather than the more consumer level one. The cutting power is absolutely awesome!

This unit is great!! I've used Ego's 24" for the better part of 5 or 6 years (a LOT) and was ready to upgrade, The brushless motor is smoother and I would swear (but you can't do that on a review...haaaa) the blade cuts way better. Also glad to be able to interchange batteries. I have several Ego products and that feature is the cats meow...

Best hedge trimmer ever a perfect blend of balance and power. I love the function that I can adjust the cutting blade on different angles while still holding the trimmer upright fantastic design!

I really like this trimmer. I've only used it once, so the blades are obviously super sharp, so it cuts very well. There is plenty of power, that isn't a problem at all. I ran the trimmer for about 45 minutes straight and the battery still had plenty of charge. The only downside is that even without the battery, this is a very heavy unit. With the battery, the balance is better, but the weight is quite a lot. The 45 minute trimming session was definitely tough.

I am very happy with this hedge trimmer. The only reason I am giving it a 4 and not 5 star rating is that the balance is very blade-heavy. It is a beast to manipulate, especially at a fully arm's reach. That said, the length of the blade, the cutting action, and the safety features like automatically stopping if a piece of fence or other metal object gets into the teeth, area all great.

When I unpacked the HT2501, the build quality was evident starting with the metal motor housing. The blades have very sharp edges so putting on the supplied cover when transporting the tool is a good idea. The unit is a bit heavier than I expected with the battery attached although it's pretty well balanced. The wide blade openings handle pretty thick branches easily. The safety switches on the handle did take some getting used to but work well. The best feature is the adjustable handle which made it much more comfortable to orient the blades to the desired angle and especially easier to handle when trimming the sides of bushes.

Used it once then it seized the next time. Less than 11 months old and no longer works.
