Brought this to till a raised bed garden (9 beds), and to replace a gas powered tiller that had a broken starter. The EGO cultivator attachment did a great job turning over the beds without the need to shut down and restart motor when I move between beds like the gas one. Just pull the trigger and you're tilling. The adjustable speed on the power head was useful at the edge of the beds. All in all was as effective as the gas tiller and much more convenient.
I bought the cultivator attachment for my ego powerhead to do the flower beds and that is basically what I consider its main job to be if you want to get the cultivator to cultivate hard packed soil you're really choosing the wrong tool it might do it but I wouldn't recommend it, it made short work of my flower beds, unfortunately as I mentioned in my other videos as well as this one when you go out to do work in the yard you actually don't think of videoing the actual work being done with ego tools because you're going to fill out a review that will show the video of you using their tools, like I said my other videos I'm considering getting the zero turn ego mower because the tools are just unbelievable compared to what's on the market as far as price and quality if the riding mower is the same I'm considered getting one but at the price it is like the Tesla of riding lawn mowers, on The zero turn I would definitely have to try one before I bought one The price is a little high for me okay a lot high compared to what I paid for my Cub Cadet XT1 GT50, I would appreciate if you go would consider me as a person to try there to zero turn out I'm sure they have other people but I would like to do a video of me actually doing it with my Cub Cadet and what it takes to get it going and describe the maintenance on it compared to a ego zero turn I haven't quite seen that type video done, but I could do it.
I purchased the cultivator attachment to assist in my garden and am very happy with the performance. It digs in and does not bounce around. I would recommend for any small garden or flower bed usage.
I was totally surprised that this attachment would be so effective in my garden work. It easily got me down 6" with ease and was able to handle the heavier clay when encountered. I plan to use it all the time next season.
This attachment absolutely does what it's intended to do! If you're expecting to use it to till a large area rent a roto-tiller. EGO products do a great job for me!!
Impressed upon first usage. better than what I anticipated on undisturbed soil. Pulling it backwards works best. Very happy with it so far. I like the fact that I can use two different speeds with the multitool
I live in eastern New Mexico were the soil is almost like clay . At first I was skeptical but this rototiller attachment KICKS @$$ ! Eco friendly too its a win win for earth.
I bought this to try to help dig thru Georgia clay to plant some trees in my back yard. I was impressed with how well it did in digging thru the clay. The weight isn't at the moving part, so it is a little different than using cultivators that I have used before, the cultivator can sometimes pull up. By moving slowly I was able to keep the cultivator focused on the dirt I wanted loosened.
Works better than I expected. Bought it to start a new garden plot in my back yard. Cut through the grass with little difficulty. Only draw back is the weight is a little more than this 73 year old would like. Glad I have it.
Excellent adapter piece for the Ego+ master head; also easily-adjustable between the wide or smaller tiller sizes. Easily swaps betweeb this and the weed trimmer.
