EGO Power+ Multi-Head System HTA2020 20 in. Battery Hedge Trimmer Attachment Tool Only

Absolutely scythes through most types of hedges, and with those which are more difficult, it will still saw its way through even thick branches. The reach is awesome, allowing you to trim even very tall hedges from the ground, but after about 20 or 30 minutes holding the long trimmer up gets pretty tiring.

Got this hedge trimmer attachment with my purchase of the string trimmer kit, I've used it to trim up both my Cottonwoods. It is a bit heavy between the 5.0 amphr battery and the sheer length of the hedge trimmer it's a bit to handle. There's plenty of cutting power with the hedge trimmer, and 1inch branches are little trouble for it. The tool seems power efficient, I'm able to use the single battery to both hedge trimmer and string trim my .43 acre. I do plan on picking up the aluminum extension for this.

I bought this hedge trimmer attachment 2 weeks ago, and very glad that i have done so. In the past trimming required me to use a ladder and extension cord to mange the cuts often taking me an hour each just positioning equipment for the short cuts. With this new trimmer I managed to cut the 2 hedges from the ground within 15 minutes and not have to worry about ladder safety or extension cords. While the head is a bit heavy getting a good grip on the handle and on the shaft help alleviate the weight while cutting. the blades cut though branches like butter making the trim job look great. For safety and connivence I highly promote this product.

I've been using this pole style hedge trimmer for the past couple weeks on all our hedges. I also bought the power drive for it. My only complaint is its weight, but I understand why it's heavy as it's very durable and very well well-made I was getting tired of standing on a 6 foot step letter to trim our hedges. I have a very bad back and at 70 I don't wish to fall off the ladder when leaning over with a regular hedge trimmer. This makes the job much easier. It's very well designed and I'm very happy that I purchased it.

This is an excellent Pole trimmer. I also bought the extention pole that works with it because i have tall bamboo to frequently trim. This cuts through all the bamboo with no troubles at all. It is on the heavy side, though, so this one is not for a boy. I use it while I'm standing on a 15' A frame ladder. 😎

I have a couple of taller, planned it that way, hedges/privacy. I've always struggled with a 10ft step ladder & a small corded trimmer. This attachment was fantastic to reach the top from the ground to do the edges. Then on the ladder to finish top, without struggling!! It also almost reached over to the other side. The middle has been hard to reach. Not anymore. The “ tilting head” works wonders. I went all in & bought the power head/pole saw combo, extension, & this. I used this prior to the pole saw.

I can't even begin to describe its quality and performance. I'm 5' and believe me, I was able to handle trimming my tree! It's a bit heavy but it cuts beautifully, “like butter”. I finished the trim just in a few minutes and didn't feel the weight of the trimmer ! I highly recommend it.

This is a replacement piece for the original. The original trimmer was awful. When trying to cut even small bush stems, it would make a “gear stripping” noise and lock up. Finally, gave up. Hope this new piece works better. Also, batteries on 2 other Ego products have gone dead and won't charge.

For what it's meant to do, this thing works awesome. I knew from reading the review prior to purchase that it was going to be heavy, and since I have one now, it is. But with shoulder strap attached and properly setup this tool is good for 30 minutes without any problem. Where this also shine for me is when I use it to trim my grass along my fence, just stick it underneath and it cuts both side at once.

Tried this out a few times on our 5 acres and it seems to work very well. I'm only concerned with it's durability. It seems to be a little bit light and I'll just have to wait and see if it can handle a few months of cutting and trimming. The adjustments on the hedge trimmer also seem to lack holes in some places I would like the head angle to be. So far there is really no vibration to really be concerned about.
