EGO Power+ Trimmer, Edger, And Power Head Multi-Head Combo Kit

So far, so good! Lightweight, plenty of power. Edger needs to spin up a little for the initial cut, but I was working with a long neglected lawn, it was easier on the second pass. Once it got spinning, it stayed spinning no matter what I fed it. String trimmer also worked without any issues, it did not even seem to slow down at all in tougher applications like a gas trimmer would. The battery isn't too heavy, but I needed a backup to finish the job. I was using both the edger and the string trimmer on a lawn that had not been cared for properly for over a decade, so I expect it would have lasted fine on a maintained lawn.

I had a Craftsman multi head trimmer/edger/shrubber for years! I replaced the carb on it after the choke handle broke and years later a gas tank after the fuel lines became brittle and broke. The next year it would not run well so I bought another carb. I could NOT get that thing running well no matter how I tuned it so I sold it and got this combo. I am stunned how well this works! The first day I trimmed and did the first edge of the season. Everyone knows how tough the first edge of the year can be! This tool handled it quickly! No more heavy tool to carry around and having to wear hearing protection! No more having to prime the thing and start it!

The edger is great! The string trimmer - not so much. The trimmer is a bit too long (I'm 6'4") and it difficult to hold pointing into the turf at a border. I purchased a 2.5AH battery to make the trimmer lighter because I hold the battery end up high to get a good trim.

This combo is great for homeowners who want an easy, effective lawn care kit. Setup is simple and it delivers solid power. Battery life could be better, but even on low speed the edger and trimmer handle tasks easily. The strap isn't very helpful, and the handle lacks tilt adjustment. Overall, great product and highly recommend purchasing.

I love both tools. The edger takes about 80% less time to use than my old manual edger, plus it is much less work. The string trimmer is so much easier because now I don't have to drag a 100-foot power cord around the yard, and the powerload feature is great. Switching the attachment heads is quick and easy. (I should note that the original string trimmer that came with the set did not work properly, but getting a replacement was quick and easy.)

Overall performance is good. What I don't like is that the trimmer is straight and not bent like other trimmers. This makes it awkward to use the trimmer. Another thing I didn't like was the plastic guard does not keep debris from flying everywhere. I was getting hit by all kinds of debris where other model trimmers this is not an issue. If the handle or end of the trimmer were bent a little this would probably not be the case .

I am very pleased with this edger tool. It is the best and I actually enjoy edging. What used to take 30 minutes with a weed eater/edger tool takes less than 10 minutes. It is easy to use. Only drawback is the weight when using the weed eater. It is heavy even with the strap. Oddly enough when I use the edger I just use one arm it's that easy too use!

Needed to replace my 30 year old Craftsman corded trimmer when I could no longer get parts. So far, this Ego combo unit is a excellent replacement. Easy to set up, very easy to change the lower trimmer unit with the edger unit. 4 amp battery easily trims and edges my 1/2 acre yard on a single charge. Charging only takes 30-40 minutes to return to full. Very pleased with this combo !

I have only used it the string trimmer a couple of times but it worked great both of those times! Used the edger once and it was great as well. Still have to autoload it for the first time, but I expect that to work as advertised as well. Definitely need to have at least 2 batteries to finish my property, trying to edge and trim on one battery doesn't quite make it.
