I love it. It's so easy to rid the yard and driveway of leaves. It works in my car when it's covered in snow also
Super easy to use. Just put in a battery and go. It's also extremely light and we have a very large lot, so carrying this around is much easier than a gas powered backpack blower.
its definitely not professional level but for the price its good. the battery does not last long because to do a good Job I have tpo use the powe button almost Consistetly to get those leaves moved, burning through the batter pretty quickly. if you have a sizeable propwerty and need maximum power, get a pro version
Does the job on the leaves...get about 30 minutes with 5ah batteries. Only issue (which I have not yet reported) is: I've used it 5 times, and I have an failure of the trigger/switch...I hit it...nothing. I will report it to warranty service once I have my leaves all cleaned up...another week or so. Otherwise, I am not disappointed. Since I already had all the Ego lawn equipment (mower, string trimmer, chain saw, hand held blower, etc) I had the batteries/chargers...so the blower without them was very reasonable in price. Weight with 5ah batteries is ok...I have not tried it with my 7.5 ah batteries. My last backpack blower was a Stihl...this is a good replacement, quieter and no fussing with gas/oil. I would recommend this.
Great blower for our purposes. The updated handle with stay on dial is a great hand cramp saver. Batteries last a long time if not run on high all the time. Comfortable on my back and not too heavy, i am a 55 year old female in good physical shape. Recommend this over the handheld blower for large areas.
As a female with nerve damage to my right arm/hand this makes it easy for me to use but my issue is the plastic tubes don't lock in well at all and fall off.
Battery and charger excellent but this blower has low power- disappointed. okay for leaves on a driveway or patio but have to be honest- tiny yard blower. Better off with the LBPX8000 twin battery blower if you want an actual decent blower that is battery powered. I have BOTH the difference is huge
The tool works very well, but the battery will no longer charge after a few years. The battery is the most expensive element of the tool, so replacement is costly.
The fabric straps on my blower are completely disintegrating and have torn apart. I've always stored my blower inside out of the weather and it is only 3 years old. Very disappointed to see the quality of materials absolutely falling apart. I tried to reach out for a warranty claim but was denied since this was a gift and I do not have the original purchase receipt. Very disappointed that this could not be made right since I have loved the blower up until now. Definitely not worth the price to only get 3 years of life out of it.
I was all for more eco friendly yard equipment. After researching blowers, I decided to give the Ego a try. Unfortunately, not one store has a floor sample to try before buying. I got the blower home, assembled it and charged the battery overnight. I live on thirty acres adjacent to a National Forest. Leaves in the fall consume the property, but I tried out the Ego in the late spring for light clean up. I also have a very long paved driveway and tree overhang the drive. Right off the bat, I discovered this blower does not have the power to move more than a handful of leaves at a time, unless turbo is used. I had to continually use the turn to move small branches, hemlock needs and leaves off the driveway. After 15 minutes and less than 1/2 the driveway completed, the battery was completely depleted. I returned the Ego blower to the store the next day and got a refund. Until the battery life is better, and blower power is greater, this just won't stack up to the gas powered back packs.
