Had my husband help me put it on, and we both had a bit of trouble removing all the screws and getting the deflector positioned just right to install it correctly. But, now that it is on, it looks really nice on my 2013 F-150 and seems sturdy enough to last a long time. Great product for the right price!
I am very disappointed with the shield. The clamps to keep it attached to the hood keeps coming off. It has scratched the underside paint. I wish that the bug shield had a hood wraparound type front instead of being held by screws and clamps.
Unfortunately there is no bug guard at this time available for our truck. We had to get a refund. I'm confident that we will continue to purchase items from Real Truck as needed. The customer service is exceptional. Joshua Rowles was the one who took our order. And the experience was great. He did a wonderful job trying to help us. He was professional and friendly. Something you don't find any more when it comes to customer service
Very easy install and looks good, I'm happy with it. I didn't want an adhesive one, this checks all the boxes.
This was a tough install. The directions say yo use existing holes. They do not line up. Had to make two new mounting holes very very carefully. Then it fits and works awesome. I also added to rubber cabinet dampened buttons to the back side so it has no way of contacting paint if something hits it.
The Ram has an inside hood weld which gets in the way of the mounting clips, for the end screws. Thusly the holes in the bug shield to hold the ends, couldn't be aligned with where the clips had to go. Luckily, there was enough room to drill a second hole on the bug shield holding flap, and it looks and holds perfectly. Almost didn't fit though.
The installation was not well thought out because when you attach that tabs UNDERNEATH the weather stripping, it makes it so the only way to close the hood once it is installed is to SLAM the hood shut. the tabs should have been made thinner. hopefully, over time with the hood shut it will condense
Had to drill 2 holes to replace rubber weather strip not a quick install but figured it out. Looks good
The bug deflector does not fit correctly. The pieces that hold the screws in the hood do not stay in place and fall out. The curve of the deflector is too far off the front of the truck.
Poor fit, to hard to assemble, once on hood the metal clips hit the corners of front bumper edges and damaged my newly installed clear vinyl wrap
