And the other half? Eight O'Clock Original! Combine these beans 50/50, and you end up with a robust coffee with a sweet undertone - - pretty much like a good "donut ship" blend but with more taste. For a drip coffee maker, use a rough grind. If you're using a Keurig type machine - - normally better known for convenience than great coffee - make the grind fine and set the machine on "strong brew." You'll be surprised at the quality of the coffee. I have always found Eight O'Clock beans to be fresh and well roasted, and consistent in taste. Buying in bulk online is a great convenience and money saver, and taking the time every day or two to grind the beans yourself is well worth it.
You can spend a lot more money, but you won't get better coffee than this. Do yourself a favor and try this coffee. Smooth, rich, full-bodied, not bitter or burnt tasting (unlike Starbucks - yuk!). Save your hard earned money and buy Eight O'Clock Colombian Peaks - you're welcome!
Always has been my favorite coffee. That I can have it delivered right to my door makes it even better! I never run out, and the aroma of my fresh ground coffee from whole bean Original reminds me of the A&P where we shopped when I was just a little girl. Good memories, good mornings.
I used to be able to purchase Eight O'Clock coffee whole bean packages from my local grocery store, but during one of my grocery runs during the pandemic, I realized that I could no longer secure our favorite coffee from this particular store. Then it hit me - what if they had a website where I could buy it directly from them? Eureka! I hit pay dirt!!! No more not being able to obtain the delicious coffee that my husband and I enjoy every day in our self-grinding coffee maker! Thank you, Eight O'Clock, for coming through for us in a pinch! You have a customer for life! P.S. I used to run a B&B, and coffee was a huge part of the customer service we provided - and our customers loved Eight O'Clock!
I don't doctor my coffee with a lot of flavorings and add-ons, so the flavor of the coffee itself is important! I just love Columbian Peaks!!! And I was so happy to see that I can order it online since it isn't always available at the store. That box of goodness arrives and I know my mornings are secure.
I am not a wealthy man by any means. But there are just some things in life that one cannot skimp on, and my coffee is one of them. I used to buy Maxwell House Colombian. However, I was visiting a friend several years ago, and he had some of your coffee and I drank a cup. I fell in love with the flavor, the aroma, all of it. When I left to return home, I stopped at the store and bought a grinder and a sack of beans, and I have been buying it ever since. Now when I make coffee, I refer to it as nectar of the gods! By far, the finest coffee I have ever drank.
A retired grocer told me about the quality of Eight O'clock coffee many, many years ago. He said it was the only coffee bean on the market that was not brokered. 100% controlled from plantation to shelf he told me. I think of him every morning while I enjoy my first cup. Men of quality are equally rare.
This was my first purchase of the Colombian Peaks whole beans from Eight O'Clock. I swapped it for the typical Dark Italian Espresso beans in my morning grind and Voila! It was like drinking a milk chocolate treat with that espresso bump. Note: I do prefer Colombian Peaks paired with Hazelnut instead of the French Vanilla. It brings out a chocolate caramel loveliness.
Have been grinding these beans myself for about 23 years now. Have tried MANY others along the way and always come back to these!
Surprisingly tasty full body flavor. Not bitter, a good medium roast and easily a flavorful French Press or pour over.
