Hung this under a floating shelf and now the shelf looks like it belongs

I ordered Pebble Grey. Not grey at all, it's brown. It's a 2x4, NOT reclaimed wood as stated. Looks nothing like the description or photo. I didn't mind the cost, but this is deceptive.

cut it and make it yourself.
this product is junk it's nothing but scrap pieces of 2x4 that they cheaply put together with nails. it is not first quality 2x4s at that I've been calling the company several times left voicemail no return.
