El Monterey Signature Entrée Steak Enchilada, 9 oz (Frozen)

Very tasty in my opinion. I'm giving it a 4 star because they should advertise this dish as spicy not creamy- though it is. Fortunately I like spicy and knew ahead of time by reading other reviews. If I was shopping in stores instead of online I wouldn't know. This can be very misleading for those that can't do spicy.

I thought these were good but a little spicy. They were too spicy for my husband. Thus I simply won't buy them again for us both. However for being a frozen enchilada I was happy with the entree. Really good flavor and size, good quality and pretty good value. I dropped the review to a 4 star simply because the spice level is a little high. Those of us who like more spce can easily add a little hot sauce. That's what I do. :)

I just wish it looked, or tasted as good as the photo on the box. What you get is a couple of almost flat enchiladas with little filling, and some rice.

it may have contained one bite of steak in the whole meal. that is being generous. the sauce was ok, but not great, the rice was rubbery. i was very disappointed. it wasn't worth even one dollar. Let alone the price i gave. the barn cat wouldn't even eat the remaining stuff.

Tortilla was mushy and when I opened it up to see “the meat” I could not find any. Seriously filled with a mystery gravy and “roast” type strands but not enough for a bite. Very disappointing. Please give me at least a tablespoon of filling.

This was simple to prepare and I had high hopes for it, since it is an El Monterrey product and I have enjoyed other products of theirs for years. It was supposed to be "steak" enchiladas, but there was NO IDENTIFIABLE MEAT in this product! I took a photo that is unedited, so you can see the "filling" after the enchilada had been cut open and then unfolded. That is ALL that I did--cut it in half and unfold it! There is NO MEAT! What is in there is a miniscule amount of what looks like thick snot or baby poop, a grayish/brownish smear. I tried to eat the dinner, but the taste was odd and the after-effect of a severely burning tongue just made me throw the rest away. This is probably the worse blatant LIE and misrepresentation of a frozen dinner that I have ever experienced. I rarely leave reviews, but felt compelled to warn others of this horrible product.

My first bite into the enchiladas was blank with no filling. My second bite was blank with no filling. Third bite was some off flavored beef broth gummy texture with no discernible pieces of meat anywhere. Just led me to open up one of the enchiladas and discovered gray matter, but no strands of meat and nothing resembling what's on the photograph of the box. Tasted like fermented beef broth. If that's a thing after seeing this, I question my health on consuming anything further. I have trusted El Monterey signature burritos and chimichangas, but this is devastatingly bad food.

Very, very, very spicy. I dont know if it was a weird batch or suppose to taste this way. But if your looking for nose watering heat try it lol. If not maybe a different one.

i dislike it because my food was nothing like it was on the box it was thrown together and not one piece of steak inside neither one just sauce and cheese no meat

This meal was far too spicy for me. It contains several hot pepper purees. Also it states that it contains shredded steak. It must also be pure'ed because there was not even the smallest hint of meat in it. Overall it just didnt taste good.
