Elanco Tapeworm Removal Dewormer for Cats, 3 Tablets Praziquantel

This product worked amazing on my two cats that I recently took in from a family friend I even recommended her to buy it herself for her three cats she kept because if a cat uses the same litter box as the infected cat 9 times out of ten the whole cat colony gets it unfortunately but ever since treatment I haven’t seen one worm!

I voluntarily trap cats and kittens and facilitate their sterilization and rabies vaccination. I put pyrantel for roundworms and hookworms, which every cat and kitten have, in their first post-op meal of wet food. When I see signs of tapeworms in their stool, I know pyrantel won't kill tapeworms, so they are given praziquantel, crushed, in their wet food. It is a bit costly, IMO, but other drugs to kill tapeworms, like certain topicals, are not available without a Vet prescription, which is cost-prohibitive for every cat and kitten I TNVR.

It cleared my cats of worms in one dose. i can't say it's easy to use because my 4 cats refused to eat it crushed in their food. I had to hold them by their nap to get it in their mouth. 2 swallowed it on down and 2 wanted to flail. They're cats. But once I got it in them, no more grains of squirmy rice in their poop! Buy it.

This actually works and it works rather quickly. Granted, for me it was difficult to give to my extremely picky cat. The pills dissolve quickly, and this can pose an issue when trying to give it to your cat. I had to give it to her on two different occasions (2 days apart) because I was not sure if she had gotten enough in her system since she spit so much of it out (she looked as if she was rabid with all the foaming at the mouth she was doing). But we were very happy to no longer notice the tiny little (alive) tapeworm fragments that were on her rear end. She is a strictly indoor cat, but she somehow managed to get fleas and end up with tapeworms. I think she got them when I took her to a mobile vet clinic to have her shots updated since it was right after that we noticed fleas and not even a week later the disgusting worms. I hope to never have to deal with this again, but at least I know that there are some over the counter pills that do indeed work to get rid of tapeworms.

I buy this for my When they get their tapeworms I have six cats total three of them have to take a pill and a half to them luckily have not had to have any warm medicine, but the rest of them have had to have its but when they do have to have the warm medicine, it takes one dose to get rid of the warm medicine and I’m very happy that I don’t have to do it for 14 days

Found a kitten next to a dumpster brought it home, took it to the vet. They gave him medicine for worms. A week later notice tapeworms were coming out. We call the veterinarian, hoping that they would tell us to go in or give us some medication but nothing so we google and we found this medication. It works.!!!

I appreciated being able to purchase this without a prescription. It was so frustrating going anywhere else. It’s my ANIMAL and you can’t get loopy from this so why is it so hard to buy dewormer literally anywhere else? My kitten is fully dewormed now after many failed attempts with other products.

They worked for my cat. The vet wouldn’t do a refill when she got drontal in March then my mom watched my cat while I went to the beach and my cat got worms. So instead of a refill, they wanted to see my cat again because the vet that saw her wasn’t there. I didn’t have the money until pay day for a vet visit and didn’t want her going close to 2 weeks without any form of treatment to get rid of the worms. So I got this instead and so glad it worked. My cat is happier and my wallet is happier. Win win lol but if she some how gets reinfected I’ll take her to the vet. All beddings have been washed, dumped out litter and cleaned her box. So hopefully no chance of reinfection.

Worked like a charm. Crushed it and mixed it into a can of cat food, and my kitten ate it right up. Gave it to my outdoor feral cat too, on top of his dry food, and he ate it right away. The worms were gone on my kitten in less than one day. Highly recommended.

Giving 1 star because none isnt an option. it was hard to give to cat! then it almost killed him! a trip to the vet, 2 vet calls later 3 days of not eating ANYTHING. after the vet visit i had to force feed him kitten milk. i will never buy this again or recommend this product to anyone!
