I have had a couple of different brand dryers over the years but this Electrolux dryer is amazing! It takes less time to dry overall than other dryers I’ve had and I love the refresh with steam option when you didn’t get to your load after it finished drying. Super intuitive and easy to use this dryer even with all its bells and whistles. I highly recommend this dryer!
We got our Electrolux washer and dryer and now I’m looking for excuses to do laundry. WHO AM I?! The washer cleans so well the clothes come out nearly dry and questioning their life choices. It even fits my king-size comforter like it’s no big deal. The dryer is lightning-fast and efficient—no endless “is it dry yet?” checks. These machines have officially turned a chore into a flex.
We got our new washer and dryer delivered on August 7, 2025. They are beautiful, (we got the Graphite Gray) and more importantly, they work great. My mom always bought Electrolux vacuum cleaners and said there was no better vacuum. I remembered that when I went shopping for our new washer and dryer. Hopefully we will have good years with them.
I love my new Electrolux washer. There’s so many cycles to choose from. My clothes come out clean and smelling fresh every wash load. The large capacity washer is a plus for comforters and bulky blankets. It truly is an upgrade from my old one.
I LOVE my new dryer. It is efficient, quiet and fast. The dials and settings are easy to read and understand. It gorgeous and high quality. This is my first Electrolux dryer and the best one I have owned.
The drums are big where I can do decent size loads now and everything comes out so much cleaner.
Absolutely LOVE my new Electrolux front load Perfect Steam electric dryer! I ordered it with the pedestal, which provides extra height and convenient additional storage space in my laundry room. Electrolux offers the front load door to open to the right, or left. It is efficient, quiet and looks fantastic!
Love it so far! However the stack kit did not stay in place after assembly and became dislodged so it causes quite the racket, has lead to cosmetic damages and kit will need to be replaced
I've had this dryer for just over a month and I don't know how I have managed to get along without it. First off, as my 'Review Title' states, this machine is behemoth with its 8 cu. ft. capacity. The well-lit (LED) drum is sleek and coated with a very durable enamel that is almost like a porcelain finish. Although I did not get the steam option, my unit contained the brass discharge fitting to deliver it. I might add that I did not purchase the (very reasonably priced) steam option because I did not want to run an extra water line and connect it to my electric dryer. I thought of steam irons and how (inherently) they become riddled with limescale (and other mineral) deposits, necessitating cleaning the vents and sole plate with a vinegar or CLR solution. I did not want this added maintenance nuisance. Like most electric appliances today, the cord (a/k/a "pigtail") must be purchased separately, which is not a problem. The real challenge was finding the appropriately-sized, non-standard (large) cord restrainer, where the clamp has to accommodate a flat cord or "pigtail" to restrain it. I don't know if all modern dryers - even those manufactured by other companies - have this hinged "sandwich" double action style lint trap or not, but it is superior! This device traps lint like I have never seen before, and is extremely efficient. The only drawback to this device is its size. It is so big that it is almost impossible not to bang the surfaces of the dryer opening, both inside and out, when removing and subsequently reinstalling it back into the dryer after cleaning. Strange that the specifications state, 'Extra Large Lint Filter: NO'. With 8 cycles, 5 temperature settings, wrinkle care, sanitizing cycle, and sensor dry (my personal favorite), it can handle anything with great ease. My dryer sits atop its compatible washer (FLS527UI) and is attached via the optional stacking kit (7X). Although the manufacturer states that an optional drying rack is available, there are none to be found. According to the installation instructions, the optimal dryer vent hose should either travel downward or left/right; mine must travel in a vertical direction due to the logistics of my condominium home. Nowhere does it state that an extension is required to clear the protruding back of the unit when connections are made such that the dryer discharge is vertical. This caused problems for me at the time of delivery/installation because they did not have one on the delivery truck. All things considered, I would highly recommend this machine. The only reason I gave it three and not four stars was because of those shortcomings (cord restrainer, lint filter size, and dryer discharge arrangement), as I discussed, as above.
Unfortunately I now have another issue that has surfaced with this model. I have both washer and dryer setup on my covered back patio and have had this setup for over 40yrs. I chose this dryer since it looked very nice and has more functions than I could ever need. It had very favorable reviews at that time and even though I have never had an Electrolux brand appliance before I decided to go ahead make the purchase. This was just over a year ago (naturally now just beyond the 1yr warranty period). I had never had any power issues with any dryer previously and using the same outlet I discovered this new dryer is apparently much more sensitive to the quality of power being supplied by the electric utility. After just a couple months the power related error code started a couple times a week and the dryer would not start. This issue required me to switch back to the old dryer just to finish loads (I had not trashed the old working dryer just yet). That problem seems to have settled down some for now so I think the power company must have worked on the mains quality for now but I do still have to keep the old dryer around as a backup. Now in the middle of summer the second issue has shown itself. The control panel has warped badly in our typical southwest summer heat even under the patio roof shading the dryer the majority of the day. Apparently the plastic they have manufactured the control panel from cannot take the very warm normal summer weather here. The dryer is again unusable until I can either purchase an expensive replacement panel (which may not last another summer again), or simply purchase a new different brand and start over. I wanted the issues I have experienced to be known so that you can make a better informed choice.
