Electrolux EW28BS85KS 27.8 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator

I bought this to replace a side by side refrigerator. i love the added space and the wonderful shape. So many things that would not fit into my old refrigerator fit now! It is wonderful

After weeks of looking, I decided on the Electrolux fridge. A few of my deciding factors in purchasing this fridge was 1- the glass shelf (with no border), this makes cleaning them fast and without having to remove them & the curve up on the edges, hence if something spills, it stays on that shelf 2- the duel ice makers (one in door and larger one in freezer) 3- the soft serve ice cream drawer in the freezer (keep ice cream cold but NOT rock hard which allow us to eat the ice cream as soon as we take it out of the freezer), there is no waiting for it to soften. Although I have only had this fridge for about 5 weeks, I can tell a difference in how long the food stays fresher especially in the climate control drawers.The only con I have found is the ice maker in the bottom freezer is loud when it is dropping the cubes in the bin. This is my first Electrolux appliance and I am thrilled with it. I had only associated Electrolux with vacuums but I am discovering they are so much more. As my other appliances go out in my home, I will definitely be checking into Electrolux as replacements. I would love to have all matching appliances in my kitchen.

After our 12 year old side by side went out we started a search for a French door refrigerator. There are some beauties out there, but none compared to this one! I love the double ice maker and temperature controlled sliding tray, not to mention the beautiful glass trays. We had a few minor issues that needed to be addressed because we bought the refrigerator off the floor at Plaza Appliance, and I am beyond pleased with the quick and courteous service both the customer service provided along with the technicians. What a pleasure to be a part of the Electrolux family. Wish we had joined sooner. P.S. LOVE the soft serve ice cream drawer too!!

We purchased this refrigerator after much research on all simliar french door styles. We are avid farm maket shopper, and found our old Whirlpool side by side did not have enough fridge storage for all of our weekly fruits & vegetable, but the Electrolux has plenty bins. Our actual fruits & vegetable last for up to 6 days long, which is amazing!

Never received. Never asked to be refunded. Was told they were all damaged in transit. Lie!!!!! 3 separate orders coming at different times with same excuse.

Purchased because of promotion rate and that was never the case and after getting delivery email confirmation, order was cancelled and not delivered and no explanation was given.

We purchased model EW28BS85KS3, French Door Refrigerator about a month ago. Nice looking machine, however, we're on a first name basis with repairman. Top ice maker that feeds door dispenser made ice but when attempting to get cubes, dispenser would spit out mostly crushed ice and then continuously drip from dispenser. Repairman found a faulty rubber seal on the flapper door that seals the ice maker from the outside air and had to replace entire dispenser assembly. Ice maker in freezer compartment overfills with cubes and when opening freezer drawer the wire lever that detects a full bin and stops the ice maker will kick out about a half dozen cubes in back of the drawer and they will subsequently slide out from under the drawer onto the floor. On a couple of occasions, the ice cubes stuck behind door and would not allow freezer drawer to close completely causing thawing. Repairman ordered, from Electrolux, an extension to the wire lever which will not allow ice to build up as high in bin. Question, why isn't this installed at the factory. A hinged strip which runs the full vertical length of the right fridge door which allows both doors to seal in the center, will cause the left door not to close correctly due to hanging extended. This strip needs springs to hold that hinged section to return to its correct position. I'm no expert but, for the price we paid, this machine is extremely disappointing and we will never purchase another Electrolux item. There are simply too many design and engineering issues that should be corrected prior to the unit leaving the factory in Mexico.

Just received my replacement refrigerator one week ago after having serveral problems with my original refrig., when it was delieved the Temp drawer temperature was not working,Here we go again. I already had a service call today and the circuit board needs to be replaced in the temp drawer and one of my freezer drawers and brackets need to be replaced the drawer does not stay on the track. My original model was completelty stainless steel, sides and front doors. this model has ugly gray panels on the sides of the refrigerator. Th original model number wa model EW28BS71IS...serial 4A01002898,, Explain wh the model I received which wa surpose to be your better model is not. Explain wh this model does no have th stainless steel sides, wh this model ha a second ic maker in th freezer compartment, an why instead of having 3 freezer drawers it only ha 2 I am no happy with my replacement an will expect to ge a response to this email.

18 months and still no ice. Service guy comes out, not the same guy. Electrolux says design defect and sends out a replacement. Put it in he leaves no ice. Ice and water dispenser take up half of unit no room for food. Is 3,000 dollars not alot of money? Willing to pay alot if I get what I want. This is a peice of junk. Going to give this one away, and buy a Sub-Zero. Electrolux should sign up for Sub-Zero school in the Fall. Sorry about spelling and punctuation, I am just MAD.
