Great series!!
I never saw this series on its original run. Thought I'd try it and see what it was like. It's fantastic! The acting is superb. Jonny Lee Miller is as good a Holmes as anyone has been, including Jeremy Brett and Benedict Cumberbatch. Besides looking gorgeous Lucy Liu is equally as good as Joan Watson. I didn't realize she was this good of an actress. They play off of each other brilliantly. The chemistry between them couldn't be better. The writing is incredible. So far the stories aren't based on the books but are newly written in the Holmes style. As far as the DVDs go, the picture is crisp and clear, the sound is good and all episodes are subtitled. There's plenty of extras, including certain episode commentaries and plenty of short pieces on the making of the series. The 40 disc set is priced right from Walmart at under $60 shipped. It's well worth the money and you won't be disappointed if you like a well written, well acted mystery crime show.

I got my order way earlier than I was told. Gonna take a while to watch 7 seasons.

Very Disappointed. This was brand new... it had 1 broken disc, and 2 discs that wouldn't play all episodes.
