I purchased this kit as a starter kit to introduce my sons to electricity and magnetism. I plan on buying more kits to add on to this one as they progress. The kit is sturdy and my 5 yr old son is able to construct circuits by following the instructions. The projects are excellent and very interactive, and it holds their attention for long periods of time.
These Snap Circuits kits are great for homeschooling families like mine. Along with the basic parts most other Snap Circuits kits have, this Snaptricity set also contains a meter, electromagnet and a motor.
Bought this for my 11 year old Grandson for his Birthday... He started making things right away. He told his Mom that they were starting electricity in school, so I think this will benefit him. When he started making things my 7 year old grandson was interested in it as well. I am thinking about buying another one for him for his Birthday.
10 year old grandson loved this. His school has something like this and he was having a hard time with it in the time period he had in school. It was also nice because it gave his dad and him some quality time together
Excellent learning tool! But an extra for a gift!
I got this for my nephew for Christmas and he loves. I would highly recommend this for anyone with a child that loves learning about science.
My great grandson loves these keeps him interested for hours.
I gave this to my 11 year old grandson for his birthday. He loved it, and immediatley began putting things together by himself.
Was looking for an activity for twin 12 year old boys, both with adhd whom I babysit on occasion. It is very difficult to keep them entertained and they end up getting in trouble quite often and also fighting with each other. I bought one of these starter sets and one of the add-on sets and gave them to the boys. They have only stopped playing with them long enough to sleep for the night. They work individually and together to build all kinds of interesting things with the snap circuits. Whoever invented this idea is a flippin' genius. What an incredibly entertaining and educational toy for kids. I'm kind of wishing I had bought one for myself. This is one of the best things I ever bought and I couldn't recommend it more highly.
My 8 yr old home schooled nephew now knows more about the flow of electrons than his public school buddies.
