This has been a lifesaver for non weight bearing foot. the basket is a hug plus. I can't image getting around without it. at work there is always something in it. I am not coordinated using crutches. This has made getting around a breeze. I highly recommend it.
Great piece of DME. Very sturdy, easy to assemble, rolls smoothly, brakes on both sides of the handle bars were a bonus! Light enough that it’s easily transported. The fold down handle is great, and locks into place securely after being folded down. It also arrived very quickly! Unfortunately, I had to return this item, not because I wasn’t happy with the purchase…but because it was too large for the individual it was purchased for. It was so well made, I was disappointed it wouldn’t work for us. Would highly recommend for an adult or older teen!!
The scooter worked well for my foot surgery. It was easy to put together and also very sturdy. There could be a little more cushion for the knee, but just add some of your own and you will be fine.
I'm having foot surgery. My insurance doesn't cover them, and it's $100 a month to rent one. So, for less than a monthly rental fee, I own one. I received it in 2 days. It was easily assembled, too.
This item has been instrumental in my mobility and independence. It is easy to maneuver, and I am able to move room to room within my home. I highly recommend it.
This is my first time needing a knee scooter so I've got no experience with other brands to fall back on (no pun intended). Pros: 1). The assembly took all of ONE MINUTE. Super easy! Great thought was put into the design. 2). The folding mechanism makes it portable in any SUV, but I would think you'd need a good, strong back in order to transport it in a car (due to needing to lift it in and out of the trunk). 3). It takes VERY LITTLE effort to use. There is little rolling resistance. I can scoot for great distances without fatigue. 4). The front carrying pouch is handy. That they designed it in such a way that it's not easily removed when accessing the unit's folding mechanism was smart! Cons: 1). The screw dials come loose frequently. I ended up using "Thread Locking" liquids in order to keep them from coming loose. 2). The steering limiter made the turn radius WAY too big. It could have been made where the front tires ended up closer to the frame when at the turn stops. 3). The "leg" cushion (inside foam) could be a bit "squishier". I find it hurting my knee/shin when used for too long. I'm now using a small pillow between my knee and the cushion. 4). SQUEAKS!!! It was quite noisy until I took the front steering mechanism screw knobs out, disassembled the components and applied silicone grease where they rubbed against each other prior to reassembling it. Once apart, it was easy to see where they were wearing, and only took a miniscule amount of lubricant to silence the noises. Overall, the unit is sturdy, well-engineered, lightweight and easy to transport. I found it to be a great product for the price! I recommend this knee scooter (and hope you won't need it for long - that you heal quickly).
Overall, I do like the scooter, and I can get around much better than with a walker. The wheels are very hard and do not handle door thresholds very easily. You must lift up to go over the smallest obstacle! The instructions are hard to follow and there appears to be some missing parts to secure the cable. I did use some Tie Wraps to secure it! There were 4 pieces I did not know what to do with. there were 2 Nut Caps but I have no idea where they go and nothing in the assembly instructions even mentions them. There were also 2 plastic washers with a concave surface, not mentioned in Instructions, which I used under the Star Knobs.
The paint was already missing from the coated pieces. The instructions were vague and difficult to follow. I'm not sure that all the hardware was included. Once assembled the scooter was very flimsy and did not feel safe. This might be good for a child or small adult but was not safe for 175lb adult.
I weigh 112 pounds and it's squeaks the brakes don't work well it's not a sturdy scooter. I will be returning it. It's not worth what I paid for it.
My son has had this scooter for less than two weeks, and it has already failed in a way that makes it completely unusable. Key components broke under minimal, normal use. This was not caused by misuse or rough handling. This has created a serious problem for us. My elementary-aged son has a broken foot and depends on this scooter to get around. A product like this should be safe, durable, and reliable, especially at a price of about $85. Instead, it failed almost immediately when we needed it most. I am requesting a full refund or a replacement given how quickly it broke and the impact this has had. Based on our experience, I would urge others to think carefully about reliability before purchasing.
