Elevate Outdoor Steel Universal Over-Cab Truck Rack

I have a 2012 Nissan Titan and needed a way to haul two kayaks while pulling a camper trailer. The rack needed to extend forward over the cab to allow the 14 foot kayaks to loaded enough forward to avoid interferring with the camper. The Titan comes with a utility track mounted on the top inside of the sides of the bed. The track is supposed to have sliding latches that can be locked down and used to secure cargo. The metal tracks we're flush with the lip of the top sides of the bed. There was no room for the eight J bolts (used to secure the four rack posts) up under the lip of the bed. I contacted a Nissan dealer for help but got none. I tried finding hardware at the store but had no luck. Finally I realized that once I turned the tracks over, the j bolts could fit up under the top of the bed as intended. Unfortunately the shape of the j bolts as provided did not allow for a good fit because they were too wide. I solved this problem by putting each bolt in my vise and bending the bolts to be narrow enough to fit properly. Once this problem was solved, I installed the rack and found it to be solid. I need to cut down the tops of four j bolts because they extend about 2 inches above the bed and are sharp. I'll trim each and cover with a rubber cap. I really like the removal rear top bar. I like the hand grab loops on the back corners. They help when climbing up into the bed. Except for the j bolts problem which I solved, I like the rack.

We ordered this rack before we went on vacation so we could take our 4 wheeler and our kayak. We were hoping it would arrive in time since we decided to take both the week before our trip. We were super happy that it arrived in only a few days, and it didn't take too long to put the rack together. It was much quicker and easier than we expected! This rack is solid and well built, we couldn't be happier with it!

The ladder rack itself is very nice when assembled and exactly what I was looking for, however the directions were not good at all. There were multiple spots in the directions that were marked wrong or showed the wrong diagram in the wrong spot. Just took a little more time to put it together. Overall great product and would recommend.

Fantastic quality, and all parts included. Rugged and certainly supports the hang glider with ease. Looks sharp on my Nissan Frontier, the black rack nicely compliments the black trim on the truck. Instructions kind of sucked, but we worked through it, looks great, and does what a truck rack should do. It seems very solid %26 heavy-duty.

Honestly it is a lot stouter then I thought it was going to be. I ended up just bolting it to my Tacoma. Looks really good too!

The rack is easy to put together and install. It actually looks pretty decent on the vehicle. I wish the J-bolts that are used to attache the rack to the truck bed came with plastic caps. Right now they just stick up and are a potential cutting or injury hazard.

Very beefy assembly, definitely more than I need to haul kayak or canoe, but well worth the cost, couldn't pass it up. Instructions need a little work for long bed and short bed, always thought I had a short bed, had to change to long bed setup to fit properly. Very heavy for shipping, box came damaged, one overhead brace was bent, was able to straighten up in vice. Other than that no problems, happy with purchase.

Installed on a F150 short bed. Instructions and images could be more clear, especially when choosing short or long bed. Reference to figure 3 is incorrect. After installing the rack and taking it out on a road, at 40 mph and above, there is a very loud humming noise that reverbs throughout the cab. Have not yet determined the cause. This noise it's a deal killer for me. The rack, however, is very sturdy and solid.
