I have black hair but I use this liner in coffee. It looks much more natural and I get so many more compliments on my brows than when I was using a darker color. A woman asked me last week if i get my brows threaded. I have oily skin and it still lasts me all day because I set my face with mineral powder. The only issue is I had the same problem as others with trying to sharpen it because it is kinda soft but when I want to sharpen it, I just pop it in the freezer and that hardens it so I can get a sharp edge but when it warms up it goes back to it's regular consistency which I love. Fabulous deal for the money!
I love the color , its a soft cool brown. So many brown liners are almost black or warm and have a deep chestnut color. This liner is for the upper and lower lashes and not the waterline. With the price and its comes with a shapener it is a great deal. I am glad I bought two.
Used this for the first time today and was very impressed. How can this be so good and so inexpensive! Find it worked great on my water line and lasted well. I bought it in the black shade and its soo dark which i love. Definitely brightens the eyes. Didn't smudge throughout the day.
This is my HG, can't live without eyeliner (in ASH). It's a dry formula so it doesn't smudge and it lasts all day on my upper & lower lash line (I don't use it in the waterline). This is PERFECT because most days I apply my makeup on the train and this isn't creamy where it will make a mess if the train is bumpy. Also the grey really looks great on my blue eyes. Something to note - I also have the black one and it's not as dry as the ash color.
Bought this a month ago or so in the 'coffee' colour. It does smudge a little after a few hours but it does the trick. It did make my eyes itch a little after a while, but I do have pretty sensitive skin around my general eye area anyway so to be expected, really. Good value for money :)
I would recommend this product for beginners. It's easy to apply, it glides on really smooth, and the color is just amazing. The color is extremely bold and dark. And unlike other pencil eyeliner that takes thousands of runs to sharpen this one takes about one turn and it's ready to go again. The cons about this product is that it runs quite easily throughout the day. I estimate that it stays on for about 4 hours until you need to reapply. Moreover, it wears down really fast as you apply. If you use it daily, then you'd probably have to sharpen it once every three days. But over all this is a wonderful eyeliner. For a dollar you can't go wrong.
This was my first eyeliner ever and was the only one I used for at least three years because it is (still) a good price and I'm still slowly getting into makeup so I didn't want to spend a ton of money on something that I only used sporadically. However, I slowly started making eyeliner one of the only things I would wear daily and I noticed that my lids were greasy (I have oily skin) and this eyeliner would easily rub off while I was in school, after maybe four-five hours. It would stay better with the e.l.f. eyelid primer but the primer didn't match my skin tone and without using eye shadow (which I don't use daily), it looked off. It probably works really well for many people, but I eventually had to go with another brand. Totally not e.l.f.'s fault, though - just my difficult skin type!
I bought this in black last spring and I love it! I've started wearing it when ever I wear makeup. I've realized that subtle smoky eyeliner looks suit me best, and this is perfect for it! It's smudge-able which is good for the smoky look. If you mess up it's easily fixed with a q-tip, which makes it great for beginners. The price is unbeatable and the sharpener that is included is very handy.
#sweepstakes This color blends very well to bring out my blue eyes. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I bought this in Coffe after hearing that brown eyeliner is a good sub for black eyeliner if it looks too heavy- when it arrived I was very disappointed to learn that it has practically NO pigment on the waterline and looks as if I've applied nothing! It shows on tissues but not my eyes. I've been decently happy with other ELF products but this was a no-go.
