Bought this to replace my other cc cream. The elf was by far more affordable. It comes in a bunch of shades sure to match most skin tones. I wear it on days when full makeup isnt an option like when Im gardening or taking the dog for a walk. This cc cream evens out my skin tone. It has a matte finish. Pair it with some lip gloss and mascara.
I did a trial run of this foundation when I started having problems getting my tried and true Clinique foundation that I wore for years. I was kind of a Clinique snob. But I love this foundation I don't have issues with it transferring or moving. I've worn it all day and night when I work call. The color is amazing gives me a light not over did makeup look with amazing coverage. Never looked back especially with the amazing prize. It blends so well with other make up either other liquids or powders
The first time I bought this I accidentally bought the wrong shade so at first I wasn't real pleased with it. Lol. However, the shade 120 N is the shade I intended to buy so I'm leaving a review for that instead. I typically use a fair neutral undertone foundation which this is. On my skin it pulls a bit warm, but not so much that I couldn't make adjustments to correct it. Someone might want to take that into consideration though when purchasing. From what I have seen from friends using the shade 150 C that pulls a peach color when it shouldn't. So I think E.L.F needs to tweak the undertones on this product a bit. As far as the formula itself I like it. I want to mention that on social media, it has been said that this is a dupe for the IT cosmetics CC cream. I'm going to say it's a safe bet to say it's not. This product is thicker and definitely full coverage unlike the one from IT cosmetics. That doesn't bother me though because I like to cover any redness and blemishes on my skin. If someone wanted to try to make it work for a lighter coverage the product would have to be used sparingly. The major con aside from the issue with the undertones would be the fact that there should be a wider shade range in the line.
This is extremely misleading. As it is listed as “light” but in the box received it says fair. So it is dramatically lighter. I can use it for those lighter areas but not when I was looking for the light color for use on the majority of my face. This was an online order so I wasn't able to search through the boxes to ensure I received the correct one.
I had very high expectations for this CC Cream but unfortunately they were not respected: it is a full coverage cream, indeed, the packaging is handy and the pump easy to use HOWEVER the shade was completely wrong. I'm very pale with a neutral undertone, so I purchased the fairest one… It was yellowish, creasy and difficult to blend. The texture seemed fine yet it did not blend well on the sky, creating dry patches. Not a product I would buy again.
I was excited to get this as it appeared to tackle the issues I have e.g. open pores, fuller coverage needed with the big plus of a decent SPF. Sadly it didn't fulfil my expectations. It settled into all my fine lines and also into my enlarged pores. It was quite hard to apply as it dries very quickly. It was also quite hard to remove I had to go over my face twice with my usual micellar water cleanser.
I tried with and without prima. With a brush, sponge and fingers the result was the same. It kept splitting on my skin. It looked and felt awful. I would not recommend this at all.
I bought this and I've tried with and without different primers it doesn't sit well on my face sits in pores and fine lines and separates when I try to blend it. I've used a brush a beauty blender and fingers it's just awful
WRONG COLOR. I ORDERED WHAT WAS ON THE COLOR I LIKE AND WHAT I RECEIVED WAS WROMG COLOR - twice. NOW, l have to take back to Walmart. I'm 81 and that's not something I want to do I have two pkg of this makeup and both wrong color. I ordered from pkg of color I like and got wrong color - TWICE. ONE ISTOO LIGHT AND ONE IS TOO DARK - why. AS I SAID, IM 81 AND I NOW HAVE TO TAKE BACK TO STORE. WHY IS IT WRONG COLOR. TELL ME HOW TO LOOK ON THE CORRECT COLOR PKG TO ORDER CORRECT MAKEUP. VERY. . VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED. HELP. HELP. HELP
Really wanted to like this so I've persevered but on my skin I find it really drying and difficult to blend. It's settles in lines and pores and is patchy and cakey, flaking off. I've tried using with a variety of primers and moisturisers as a base thinking that might be the problem but always with the same result
