Bought this about a month ago and love it. It's rare to find a lipgloss that genuinely isn't sticky and yukky when you put it on. It has enough pigment to look nice as just a gloss but also looks really nice over a lipstick. I use mine with nyx monte carlo matte lip creme and it's really nice.
I used to work as an executive trainer for Christian Dior so imagine my surprise that this little company exceeded my expectations. Wow and then some! I am saving SO much money without sacrificing quality.
I usually am not a huge fan of lip glosses, but this one totally surprised me! I got it in the color Michael and it turned out gorgeous. The application is easy and smooth! It doesn't feel as sticky and stays on better than most glosses. I wish there was more product, however for the price it's totally worth it. I will definitely be purchasing again!
I used this brush for the first time today to blend out my liquid bronzer and apply my powder bronzer, and it works wonderful. It help my achieve a more natural look that I have been unable to get from other brushes I've used (especially when blending my liquid bronzer). The shape is perfect and fits nicely along my jaw line and around my cheeks. It had a few bristles that were long than others but that did not impair it's performance and it did not shed.
I cannot put into words how amazing this gloss is. I have it in "Marc," which is the best summery bubblegum pink I have ever found, no lie. The tube is the perfect size and fits well in any pocket. The applicator is soft and distributes color very evenly. It's moisturizing, smells good, and lasts for a bit longer than two hours without getting cakey. I plan to order this in all the shades since it's so cheap!
I originally bought the red colour, and it was the most pigmented, comfortable, and affordable gloss I have ever bought. You don't even need a red lipstick underneath, it is complete on its own. I bought three more colours because if you like lipgloss, YOU NEED THIS PRODUCT!
I also have elf's other contouring brush like this, the flat one. I don't get the point of the shape of this one because it seems to perform the same as the other one (I think this one might be a little gimmicky). That said, this brush performs very well and I would recommend it. Just don't bother getting both, unless you need a backup for brush shampoo day.
I have only used this brush for foundation application a few times since I received it but I really do like the way the shape of the brush fits into the contours of my face, especially around the eyes and nose. It's a very soft brush and has a nice density which allows the foundation to be easily brushed onto the skin rather than lost in the depth of the bristles. I'm also able to use this brush to stipple more foundation in areas which need more coverage. I'm very impressed so far.
I generally will not stray away from a lip balm since my lips easily become irritated and flaky if I use most lip products (pigmented gloss, lipsticks, stains, you name it). These lip glosses not only felt amazing on my lips the colors I got Brett, Luke, and Michael were phenomenal on me and didn't travel nor apply unevenly. BUT, the sponge tip applicator broke off on ALL 3 glosses and my heart was broken (I even was super gentle since I read other reviews that said the same thing), I ended up depotting them into another container but it was a mess and I couldn't get most of the product out. Even if you twist off the sponge tip and keep using reusable wands you are only creating more waste for the landfills. Dang, I would've kept buying these glosses if it wasn't for the applicator. I only rated this product average because it's a great texture/color but horrible packaging.
I was excited to try this lip gloss based on all of the good reviews, so I ordered it along with a few other things. It came today and when I went to unscrew the cap - the doe foot part of the applicator broke off and sunk into the bottom of the lip gloss container. It's hard to review a product you can't try - but if this is the quality of the lip glosses I'll spend my money elsewhere.
