e.l.f. Expert Liquid Liner, Charcoal

I have used this eyeliner for a few months and wore it everyday to school and it stayed on all day and didn't smudge unless I smudged it and applies well

WOW, It's so easy to use!! love it!! In 4 sec I can finish both my eyes with black fine line and it holds all day long, OMG!! I was shocked when I came out from my spinning class and it was still on me , beautiful like it was before!! I recommend it to all my friends, Thank you ELF!!

This product is my favorite liner. It does not crack and is buildable. The brush is tapered and not TOO long, but not too short. It is so easy to use and applies to well. This liner is very matte and with a second layer, turns into a true black. It's also easy to clean up because it does not dry down immediately, so you have a few seconds to correct your mistakes. For a comparison, the brush is shorter and WAY easier to apply than the NYX liners. It lasts all day long and does not come off easily with water so I would use an oil-based product or an alcohol-based product!

I use this daily to go over my thick eyeliner. It works really well and helps cover up any small spots that were missed or smudged. My only issue is that if you blink or look up while it's wet, you kinda have to do your makeup all over again. Other than that, its a great product!

I have this product in black and brown. I like both. It is a little thin, but easy for me to use and gets the job done. I haven't used many other liquid liners to compare it to, but for the few others I have purchased in the past, ELF is a great value.

I used to buy this black eyeliner exclusively. I love the cat-eye, winged look. This eyeliner was amazing! I didn't expect much because it is so inexpensive but I kept coming back and buying more. I always would purchase 2-3 at a time because I used it so much. The pigment was great and would last all day. But in the last 6-8 months it's like ELF just stopped caring. I have purchased 10 more in the past 6-8 months from different stores and online but they're all horrible! They apply in streaks, wipe right off, fade, and just plain don't stay on. It's super disappointing! I love ELF products, my makeup at one point was only ELF because I was so impressed with their products. But this product is now off my list unfortunately. I'd rather spend an extra 50 cents on Wet n Wild's liquid eyeliner and get a super pigmented product that lasts. Did you change your formula? You shouldn't have :(

Yet another eyeliner I'm disappointed with. I bought the color Midnight and I was hoping I'd like this formula better than their Intense Ink Eyeliner since it stains your eyes, but this eyeliner is not even blue? As you can see from the pictures on the website, and the color of the eyeliner bottle itself, the color is supposed to be a deep blue, yet as you can see in my pictures, it is black. In my picture one of the lines is e.l.f's eyeliner, and the other is a black eyeliner from the drugstore (Almay brand). I'm guessing that neither of you can tell which one is e.l.f's. Neither could I. The first line is e.l.f's, and Almay's eyeliner is under it. e.l.f's is actually a more intense black than Almay's which is intended to be black. So now not only do I have an eyeliner that isn't the color I wanted, but I dislike the formula as well. The applicator is okay, thin and sharp, good for cat eyes, but the color is transparent and requires many swipes, and it isn't very long lasting at all. If you tear up or have oily eyelids I would avoid this eyeliner. For the price, it gets the job done, but overall it's just not a good eyeliner. Poor formula, and the color isn't accurate.

Omg I used to love this eyeliner but Elf changed the formula, now its so runny and watery that it drips like tears & leaks into the inner corner of my eye and looks like I have black watery eyes, it's so terrible. I've used this many many times without a problem, but last 2 purchases have been misses. Elf changed the formula. I don't care for Elf makeup except I Own almost every Elf face brush, and love them so much, they're comparable to Sigma and other great foundation brushes. Elf really makes the best brushes. I'm picky with makeup but loved their liquid eyeliner (comparable or better then other drugstore brands at better low price) but now I'm going to have to go back to Loreal for my liquid eyeliner. Paying less isn't better when it's smears and dosnt stay on. Elf please change back to less runny formula!

I've been using this eyeliner in black for years, and have literally recommended it to all of my friends. Then, all of a sudden, it changed. I bought a new black one recently and it wouldn't go on in a solid line. Even if I tried to go over it to make it darker, it was too runny and wouldn't go on in a solid line. I thought it was a fluke, so I bought another, but I had the same problem. Bring back the old formula, whatever it was... :(

Loved this product. I've been using the liquid liner from ELF since it had the felt tip. Was so glad they changed the tip. I ordered a bunch of liquid liners a while back because I seem to go through liner and mascara faster than anything else. I basically bought a bunch of garbage. I have been trying to get through my bottles but I don't think I will be able to. The formulation is more watery and where the brush hits the eyelid it creates a blank track (so a skin colored line outlined by black on both sides). I then have to let it dry and then try to go back and redo. I've ended up going back to my pencil, which I hate...maybe this stuff will double as mascara? I'm truly at a loss what to do with all the bottles. Also, going back through reviews, hopefully elf will notice that when their product was first being reviewed there were about 75 - 80% really positive reviews. Now it's half and half. Sorry! This stuff is a fail.
