e.l.f. Liquid Matte Lip, Praline

I randomly picked up the shade “Coffee” at Walmart in 2020 needing lipstick before an event just for it to become my go to lipstick over the past 2 something years and I'm barely scraping by with what's left. Please, please restock!!

I bought this looking for a perfect nude… let me tell you it's the perfect nude! So far wear is great and not slipping off once it's set. I will be reordering when I need more!

I am not a fan of liquid lipsticks- I'm prone to chapped lips so I tend to avoid it- but this formula is so nice and smooth and creamy and everything (very similar formula to Nyx lingerie liquid lipsticks) I could possibly want. I got the colour mauvelicious and I get compliments on the shade everytime I wear it- long lasting for drugstore 100% recommend

I must say I've never been one for lipstick of any kind but this product has totally changed me. I have medium Brown skin and bought the mauvelous shade, which I must say makes the perfect casual colour for daily wear. It is slightly pink but very similar to my natural lip colour so doesn't scream "I have lipstick on" to people. Once applied it mattifys reasonably quickly, although there is enough time to correct errors. It stays on for a good couple of hours even with constant lip licking and drinking from glasses although I would recommend reapply as necessary to keep it looking perfect.

I bought this a couple months ago and I am LOVING it! I have quite fair skin and it looks great if i wear no makeup and just put a little bit on and then some gloss on top, or when I'm wearing makeup it matches the colour of my skin perfectly!! I've been looking for the right lipstick for an always "go to" and this is definitely the one for me!

I bought this product with the anticipation that it would be just the same as the five dozen I have gotten before from other brands. To my surprise it went on smoothly, wasn't sticky or gooey, and lasted all day!  I absolutely love it and will re-purchase it many times I just needed more colors! Thank you Elf great product!

I order 3 lipstick:tea rose, praline, mauvelous and they are amazing i love them so much that right now i am ordring all the shades.. The only thing that bothers me is that there is no orders to israel and than i have to make an invitation and friend sends me to israel :( Thanks for all the products Keep doing good job <3

Besides my essential lip balm, this is the only lip product I use! As of yet, I have tried two colours: Tea Rose (first got it a year ago) and recently, Wine Tour (pictured). Both are perfect shades for my overall complexion, specifically because they both have slight purple/magenta undertones. I recommend checking out videos of people trying on the colours you're interested beforehand in order to get a better idea of how it will look on you individually. Even though it doesn't dry sheer in any sense, I noticed that each person's natural lip colour does seem to effect the underlying tones. For reference, mine are a sort of light reddish coral. Tea Rose is similar to my natural shade but with dusky purple hues instead of reddish, which I really like. Wine Tour is so beautiful, I was obsessed from the moment I first tried it on. When I ordered it online, I was thinking it might be only for the times I did eye makeup as well (as lip colours that are too bright need to be balanced with contrast in the eyes, in my opinion), but to my pleasant surprise, it looks wonderful with or without my favourite cat eye makeup. If you know purple tones don't look good on you, these ones probably won't work out for you, but the similar colours with pink undertones likely will (and vice versa). PROS: - True matte finish. - Phenomenal colours! just the right amount of vibrance for a matte look. - Nice clean lines are possible without any lip liner! This is thanks to the precision diamond shape applicator, and is probably the most unique plus of this product compared to other matte lip products. Definitely one of the main reasons that I like it so much. - Very light feel when wearing, no irritations of any kind (including noticeable scents, which would yield an immediate no from me). This is true of all e.l.f. products I have tried, for which I am very grateful. - No visible difference at all after drinking liquids from a mug or straw - The faded colour after eating is (at least for me) only in the middle, so it's relatively easy to touch up without needing to retrace the outer lines. - I care about the product and applicator's effect much more than the packaging, but since this is important to some, I will add that the outer aesthetic is lovely too. CONS: - The pigment absolutely does show up on all cups or straws you drink from, every time without fail (yet no noticeable difference on lips). If you touch your lips and then something else, yep, there's 100% gonna be a stain to match. It'd be great if e.l.f. could make a no-budge version of this product, but I'm not a cosmetics formula expert, so I understand if that wouldn't be possible/practical with only cruelty free products and without irritating chemicals. - Consistency of the actual product availability seems to be entirely untrustworthy. My order of this lovely product in the colour I desperately wanted, Vampy Violet, was cancelled abruptly TEN DAYS AFTER my purchase... without any rein-check or offer to make up for this major failure on e.l.f.'s part to secure my order no less... It's so not okay, and extremely unprofessional. I include this a con of the product rather than just the company because apparently, there is no actual reliability of any in-stock shades actually, you know, being in stock. Massive con in my book. I also wanted to try Black Out, but it's been out of stock for ages, and I fear the same will now happen for Vampy Violet. :/ If I can get this product in Vampy Violet any time soon and like it as well, my rating will undoubtedly go up to 5 stars. ＊IMPORTANT NOTE: You absolutely should be applying a layer of your standard favourite lip balm before using this matte lipstick! For me, doing this seemed very natural, as my lips are usually ridiculously dry. I mean just for months at a time without using any makeup, I *have* to use lip balm, and even then, my lips will have a layer of dead skin needing to be scrubbed off/smoothed every few days. However, using this product overtop my lip balm has had absolutely no negative effect on the dryness of my lips! The moisture is the same as always, since the colour dries so beautifully and perfectly matte on top of my usual shiny clear lip balm. I want to be really clear about this since I saw sooo many reviews complaining about the dryness! This is an incredibly simple fix to get the same wonderful matte finish while keeping your lips happy and soft underneath. Please try it! It'd be a shame to let such a great product go to waste just because people didn't think to put it on after lip balm. TL;DR: Put on your standard lip balm before this liquid matte lipstick! Don't worry if you don't have or don't want to bother with lip liner. Check youtube videos on this product to see variations of the specific colour tones if you want to try out new shades. Enjoy. :)

I got the black colour of this liquid lipstick. The applicator is a little big, making it hard to get a good line the first round. The formula is creamy and thick at first and then dries down A LOT. This may be a bit too dry for some people but I honestly would prefer that, especially with a dark coloured lippy. Overall I like it. Not my favourite lipstick but definitely going to use it up all the way.

I'm torn. I want to give this a 3.5 because while the formula is nice and I'm a major Elf cosmetics fan, I am not an Elf lipstick fan. I have yet to ever order a lipstick, lip gloss, etc and the color be accurate as shown and described on the web. The Praline - which looks like a nudey-pink/mauve is incredibly true brown. A pretty dark brown, at that. And while I'm not completely mad at the color, I'd have preferred it to look as it does in the images. My pictures isn't the best, it's actually a wee bit darker brown than shown and even a more brown tone than the orangey color of the bottle. I ordered bullet lipsticks that have done the same thing. Looked nothing like the pictures and swatches.
