e.l.f. SRSLY Satin Lipstick, Cherry

I was instantly happy with the colour (pepper was the first one I ordered); I'd been looking for a simple bright red lipstick, and I also ordered Raspberry afterwards because the pinker shade appealed to me. It was a little darker than I expected but I'm still happy with it. The consistency takes a little getting used to. It's true - you can get the pigmentation with one swipe, but for the full satin effect you need to give it some work. Otherwise you end up with a matte texture, which is cool if you're into that. It also doesn't dry, which on the plus side makes it nice and hydrating, but on the other hand it comes off on everything so you have to be careful! E.l.f. products smell and feel great - they're not over-perfumed and don't smell of horrible petroleum or have a strange taste either; something that's very important to me if I'm going to be wearing it on my face most of the day rather than painting it on a canvas! I intend to order crème and taffy next for some less dramatic looks; I hope the colours deliver as pepper and raspberry do. It is very good value.

The first time I tried on Cider, I knew I had found my everyday winter lipstick. It's a super wearable red-brown shade because of how muted it is. Looks so darn pretty on pigmented lips (My skin tone is medium neutral, for reference).

I love these lippies – so far I have Cider, Taffy, Nectar and Crème. I use Crème to lighten the others as it's a concealer lip shade on me (light/medium skin tone), if I pop it over the top of Cider it makes my almost perfect nudey-peach shade. I enjoy this formula, glides on easily, is opaque in one swipe, doesn't stay on long (but I didn't expect that from a satin bullet lipstick). Can't really go wrong with it for the price can you, it's cruelty-free, lovely creamy texture, great colour and I just love the packaging! Am quite tempted to come back for the other shades!

Please bring back the other shades! I love Creme and Nectar. These stay on forever and look amazing. I wanted to buy some for my mom for Christmas!

I'm in love with the texture and colour of this lipstick. I'm South Asian and I feel a lot of high street products don't suit my tone but this works beautiful on its own or with lip liners. My only issue is that it has very little longevity but I can re-apply with the price point I don't mind.

This lipstick in Cider is a fabulous color (I also have this lipstick in the orangey color, but it's too light/bright for me). I LOVE cider. It's kind of a brick-y red (more orange than purple), looks semi-natural, but still noticeable/dark enough to make me feel dressed up. It also lasts a pretty long time, and come on, look at the price!

Fantastic value for money! The quality is good, it lasts decently well, and applies very nicely. I have neutral-cool toned skin and normally go for cool pink lipsticks, but I tried the shade nectar and it's so flattering - it brings out the warmth in my face without drawing extra attention to any red spots or blemishes. Please keep this product and please keep it at this fantastic price! I'll occasionally try elf's higher end products but this one is going to be a staple for me.

I bought the shades Cocoa and Persimmon. Persimmon is VERY bright - it's not bad, but I'm black and darkskinned so it takes some getting used to. Good thing it's easy to layer other lip products on top ;) Cocoa is beautiful - it looks more like a dark terracotta on me than the dark dark brown I was expecting. For the price I don't mind, it looks great either way. It's great for everyday wear.

Didn't get to try it. The lipstick arrived broken in half inside the tube. Lipstick smeared inside. Will see if they have it in the store
