The Elgoto Pedal is a time saver and a over all wonderful and versitle product. It works with more than Elgoto products, but various other electronic products as well. And with a Stream Deck, then you got a match made in heaven. Get you one today.
As a guitar streamer I've been looking for something like this for a while now. I can now change scenes, change the zoom on my Facecam, toggle sources (and a lot more) with a tap of my foot instead of having to stop playing the song, so I can press the button on my Stream Deck. If you already have a Stream Deck, you can literally copy-paste your action to the pedal interface and the setup (from plugging it in, to actually being able to use the pedal) takes 10 seconds. The pedal itself has a decent weight to it so it doesn't slide all over my floor and the quality of the casing gives me confidence that I'll be able to use it with shoes if I ever do outdoor streams again. All in all, it delivers exactly what it promises.
Last night i did my first stream with the Elgato stream deck pedal and I am impressed! Pros: • Plug and play (just update your stream deck software) • Sturdy build quality • On screen overlay • Profiles for alternate workflows Cons • None so far So if you are in the market for a foot pedal or to upgrade your existing one look no further than the Stream Deck pedal!
As a streamer, being in the moment is your #1 priority when entertaining your viewers. The Elgato Stream Deck Pedal is quite literally the exact device to help you remain in the moment while giving you the flexibility to basically do literally anything the Stream Deck software allows you to do! Now, we all know how physically awkward it is to reach over your mousepad or keyboard to press a button on your Stream Deck to zoom your camera into frame after someone in your chat mentions how much they LOVE Pineapple on Pizza. For that brief blip in time of you reaching over to press that button, it takes you completely out of the moment and you are now premeditating your reaction to that individual who should be banned from your chat forever and banished to the shadow realm for loving Pineapple on Pizza. Your viewers also WILL and HAVE been noticing you leaning over to press buttons and it just comes off like a magician sort of giving away the trick before the trick even happened - no bueno. I know, you're now probably thinking "But NYBZ, how does a pedal on the floor change this? You're still reacting and pressing a button?!" Well, allow me to paint you a picture and in the wise words of Bob Ross - "Let's Get Crazy." You turn to your monitor with chat on it, notice the individual who's been in your stream every single day for the past week and hasn't even used their Twitch Prime sub on your channel mentioning how much they love Pineapple on Pizza and you instinctively look directly into the camera and without ANY hesitation your muscle memory kicks in as you tap the big center button on your Stream Deck Pedal with your left or right foot. (I personally rock the right because of my history with being a drummer, but to each their own ya know?) and your camera flies into frame and you react fully in the moment and there's no awkward body language. All this comes off as 100% genuine - because it is. It's all about keeping things natural and I think the Stream Deck Pedal is one of the most important pieces of gear a streamer could ever invest in for the sake of keeping the stream's energy flowing, along with being a Swiss Army Knife through the use of their software. Another example is using one of the buttons on your Stream Deck Pedal to capture gameplay clips through the use of OBS's built-in replay buffer functionality with simply a tap of a button using your foot WHILE gaming! Once again, no need to let go of your mouse, reach over your mousepad or keyboard to tap a button on a stream deck, you can literally keep focus on the game and/or your chat which in turn helps you remain in the moment. 10/10 - Super easy to setup/install and will buy again, because double pedals are pretty awesome on drums and equally as awesome on computers.
Bought on release day. Shipped quickly. The packaging was great as always from Elgato. Easy set up and work right away. Was the missing piece from my setup that I didn't know I needed.
A Stream Deck for your feet. Extremely easy to set up. Plugs in and immediately works. Excellent construction. Feels heavy and sturdy. Pedals are very responsive.
The Stream Deck Pedal is a floor-level extension of the already great Stream Deck software. Pedals are wide and sturdy with easy delineation by the levels. The major value is the integration with Stream Deck and it's multi-action features. You can do similar actions with existing products, but none as seamlessly. Nitpick: the multiple resistance options need a carrying case or bag to avoid losing all the tiny parts
I was using three USB (Keybind) pedals and decided to upgrade to the Elgato foot pedal as using key binds often interfered with other programs etc. This piece of kit is incredible and with a bit of stream deck software know how can literally work magic! This is NOT just a push to talk pedal. This is a multiaction powerhouse that can massively increase your production value with a push of a pedal! I go in much more detail in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HWQFUhxiV0&
I've been using this for about a month at the time of writing, and it's been a very cool tool. The pedals are comfortable enough to use, and the additional springs for various pressures are a good addition. You can get really creative with it, and I've been using it to mute myself on Discord, place stream markers on Twitch, use healing in games, switch tools while editing, etc. As with other Stream Deck products you can create multiple profiles for it, so you're not limited to just 3 inputs. My only issue for the device is the software, which is usually intuitive. A feature of profiles lets you switch between them automatically when using a specific app/game, but it's hidden a bit in the settings and has very little auto detection. I would have liked the software to have given a list of games or apps it found installed, but instead you have to dive through your files to find an exe file. There is also an overlay you can use that shows what each pedal is assigned, which is actually very helpful when profile switching, but it has to be toggled via a Stream Deck button. If you don't have a standard Stream Deck then you HAVE to use of the pedals to toggle it. It would be good if we could toggle it from the software, instead of having to switch profiles or waste one of the pedal buttons. Overall though, I really recommend this product. My issues with the software are very small and can easily be fixed down the road.
If you use this near a wall, you will ANIHILATE the included cable. Why it is not a 90 degree connecter I do not know. How could any designer not foresee that being an issue? Otherwise, fantastic product, super easy to use, included springs are a great addition for a more tactile feel. Just that one cable... Elgato pls...
