I know the Elgato Mic Arms are good quality from YouTube reviews. Yet I was happy to see how sturdy and quiet it is in person. However, what did really surprise me was the plain cardbord box with no single use plastics, no foam, all packaging was made of paper. Thank you for that!! Pro: - All-paper packaging, no single use plastics! <3 - Super stable desk mount which is quite deep. However, even with a 3D printed standoff for the narrow space I had available, the arm hols perfectly stable in place. Impressive. - Extension rod is a great option to easily fold "long" microphones (SM7B) away and extend the arm over my HOTAS flight controllers when in use. - Very quiet operation, no squeaking. - Ball mount for microphone is brillant. Con: - Included adapters are made from brass and spoil the otherwise matte black design. (I ended up using a black adapter I had laying around.)
Necesitaba un buen equipo para que el audio de mis videos y streams fuese perfecto! lo compre en pack con el micro y el brazo! Fue un acierto 100%
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is brilliantly designed. Really glad I upgraded to this mic arm. It's strong, tall and easily adjustable. Set up in less than 10 minutes. Magic! Love the cable management too Great for podcasts, streamers and musicians.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Wave mic arms, the first one I got I use (naturally) for my microphone as it's smooth, easy to move (which I do a LOT) & has a really decent reach so I don't have to have it mounted close to me, it's actually mounted at one of the furthest points from me on my desk and still reaches easily which is great when you move as much as me on stream. The second one I have however I use for my secondary DSLR which I use to do unboxings or just to provide an additional angle for streams or videos, both of my Wave Mic Arms allow me to have an extremely versatile setup with minimal effort, I can't recommend them enough!
I was using a cheap boom arm for a couple of years just because I needed one. It was too short. It squeaked. I *needed* something different. I watched the reveal stream for the Wace Mic Arm and was immediately interested. I waited to see what people said about it and I never heard a bad thing. So I bought one. I immediately fell in love with it. I put the riser on and it's completely out of the way when I move my mic out from in front of me. It's quiet, moves easily, and just feels sturdy overall. I'm using it with an AT-2020 and have zero issues with it. I did need to use one of the included adapters to attach my shock mount though. Another plus.
I have had both this mic arm and the LP and this one is by far the best mic arm I've ever hard. It's super sturdy and flexible.
lol it does NOT work with any mic. I had to duct tape my neuman tlm 103 to the freaking boom arm until I could get a different boom arm. Don't recommend.
