This thing is awesome! I bought it because i get a ton of stink bugs and they like to mostly hangout in my long drapes which makes it hard to swat them. The first night I tested this on a spider and it fried it to literal dust but doesnt harm anything else like furniture or walls or anything. Second night i spotted a stink bug and zapped him good without leaving a gross smelly mess that a swatter would have left. I can already tell im gonna have too much fun with this thing once the warm weather rolls around again.
I bought this specifically for flies, but they move around(obviously they are flies), there is nothing to attract them to go in to the racket(such as purple light). You can’t swat them with this like a traditional fly swatter or it will break. It’s plastic. If this had the light to attract them in to it, it may work. For bugs that don’t fly, you can place it on them to zap them. But for flies, I tried a whole day and got one! Was pure luck!
I thought the screen would be bigger. The slats really don’t get the bugs unless they take off I. Flight. The bugs can easy slip through. A waste of money.
I have had electric fly swatters before that worked well, infact I kept it outside and had no instructions. It worked great. This one may be to heavy. so far the score is flies 100 Lois 0.. My old ones were more light weight so there was little resistance when you took aim and swung. I usually got what I aimed at.
This item isn't accurate, the image on the packaging doesn't even match the racket. Just a hunk of plastic with large slats that bugs can go through, and there isn't a zap, sizzle, smoke, nada, ZIP! So, my suggestion to those cautious buyers who read the reviews, don't buy this and if you do get yourself a refund.
This is useless!! Ive used plenty of the normal electric fly swatters and the pop at the first bug death is amazing. Those buggers dont dare land on it or it will be their last. This, plastic, they can do a blasted jig and it wont do anything!! I waited till one of the nuisances of life landed on it, held the button saw the red light of death… but no death. No pop or sizzle. Nothing. So i think “shot did i get a dud?” i touched it and my hand was numb for a few minutes… So human swatter? Awesome. Actual fly swatter? Not at all.
The older one was better it had no fins, and a mesh to trap the bug, this one has fins and no mesh making it impossible to kill the bugs, they ruined the design! Its crap , dont buy it, not even for $9.....not worth it. I returned it and bought the Black flag one.
I purchased two rackets. I put in new batteries, each racket zapped maybe 2-5 flies, and then the rackets died. They no longer zap anything. Sadly, it is a waste of money.
I had to buy another bug zapper racket because this one doesn't do anything. You hear a loud ZAP when I use my other racket. It has 3 layers of metal wires that zaps the bugs. This one is worthless plastic.
Horrible waste of money. Doesn’t work. New batteries tried everything. It never worked not once. I don’t like to leave negative reviews but this one was a waste.
