Complex Aroma

Jana1832 August 1, 2017

This is a lovely mixture of oils meant to boost your mood and energize you. There are a lot of different oils in this bottle, not surprising were the lemon, orange, and peppermint. What was surprising was the black pepper and clove. Very unusual, and I would not have guessed those two just by smelling. When I smell it, I first pick out the citrus notes, followed by the peppermint and then I get a slight earthy smell. This is meant to go in a diffuser. Although some people use essential oils directly on skin I would advise against it with this one because of the peppermint, lemon, grapefruit and orange. Sometimes they can have negative effects. The citrus oils can actually be reactive in sunlight, and although not everyone would experience negative effects, it's best to just keep this one in the diffuser, or you can drop some on a cloth to carry with you. If you have aroma therapy jewelry with the felt pads, you can also safely use it with those. I have a bracelet that I love using essential oils in and it doesn't get on my skin, but yet I can get the benefits wherever I am. This is a half ounce bottle and will last for quite awhile even with daily use. When using in a diffuser you will need to add drops every hour or so as the scent dissipates. One note: This bottle like so many others says "therapeutic grade". This is only a marketing gimmick, and there is no such designation by any governing industry authority. Do not use that as your sole basis for buying one oil over another. I like this oil a lot, but I am always annoyed when I see "therapeutic grade" listed on a bottle of oil because I know how meaningless the statement is, and it can be deceptive. I understand why oil manufacturers do it, but it still annoys me. Any company can put that on the label, whether the oil is pure and high-quality or adulterated with cheaper ingredients made with different plant parts.

Let Go! Feel Great!

Sabourah July 26, 2017

I was first introduced to essential oils about 20 years ago after I had surgery. One of my family friends was into massage, aromatherapy, and reiki. She'd mix the oils with other lotions, heat it up for deep penetration for the massage, as well as use it as an aromatherapy treatment. The circulation came back into my body and help with my healing process... This particular oil contains four essential ingredients that help with relaxation and circulation. 1. Peppermint - gives a cooling sensation and has a calming effect on the body, which can relieve sore muscles when used topically. 2. Lavender - eliminate nervous tension, relieve pain, disinfect the scalp and skin, enhance blood circulation and treat respiratory problems 3. Marjoram - attributed to its properties as an analgesicetc and other properties 4. Basil - is used topically and massaged into the skin. ... It is also commonly used to treat the symptoms of acne and other skin infections. Let Go! Let Go of bad circulation, tension from day to day stressors and everything that's keeping you from being at peace! Would definitely recommend! Caution: It's also very strong, meaning its not cut with water so you don't need to use a lot as it may cause your skin to become irritated (if you plan to apply topically), if you use it for aromatherapy it is very relaxing/calming. I'd get a bit crazy and put it on my blankets/pillows when I didnt have an aromatherapy diffuser ) Good Luck!

Wonderful Oil

Inger August 5, 2017

I've been familiar with essential oils for 45 years. But it seems that only recently have more and more people discovered how amazing the oils are in making one feel better through their fragrances. The Ellia Homedics Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil 'GET GOING' is an aid to boost energy and mental clarity when 5-7 drops are used in a diffuser. 'Get Going' essential oil is a blend with notes of: Lemon, Orange, Bergamot, Tangerine, Grapefruit, Peppermint, Spearmint, Black Pepper, Clove and Lemongrass. What I like about this blend is that you can pick up the various oil fragrances as it enters the air. It is citrusy, minty and has a hint of spice. It is not like a room spray with artificial fragrances, these are all real and made into essential oils by a painstaking process. I like to diffuse it in the mornings to help me to 'get going' and if I begin to feel like I am lagging, it picks me up with those minty notes. I enjoy using this blend, it brightens the mood of the room. It is sealed in a dark violet glass bottle to protect the contents from light. Bottle is sealed and has a safety cap.

An easy and effective way to chill out!

jappers August 9, 2017

I selected this Ellia's Let Go Therapeutic-Grade Essential Oil blend “Let Go” because I'm a really high strung person but too lazy for yoga, and I have a very tightly wound child with Autism. Seriously we are 2 individuals who overstress, overthink, and have a great need to relax. Telling either of us to “let go” is essentially ineffective as I guess being uptight is in our DNA, but I've noticed that we get positive and effective results using aromatherapy. So when I saw this Relaxation Blend online, I figured we'd give it a try and I'm happy to say this stuff is working great for us. This is a pretty large bottle and despite using it daily, I see it lasting at least 6 months. The bottle glass is colored a dark violet to best preserve the oil, and the child proof cap is a bit difficult for me to remove sometimes, but I have small weak girl hands. Probably won't be an issue for you, but could be for someone who has arthritis so be forewarned. While this has lavender included in the blend, the primary scent is not lavender, nor is it pleasant enough for me to use in a scent diffuser for my entire house. I love it, but it is just not the scent I want people to smell when they visit, and I'm not sure my dogs would dig it either. People asked what it was, but it was more inquisitory than complementary in nature. But that's ok because I got it for its relaxing and calming effects and it works 100% for that. I like to put a few drops onto a cotton ball and tuck it in my bra and it really takes my stress away and I feel more carefree. Oh and the scent lasts ALL DAY LONG!!! And when my kid has a tantrum she's like Frankenstein being handed fire, and I will give her a cotton ball with a bit of oil and it soothes her instantly. That in itself is reason enough to purchase this! While it doesn't make me drowsy, just relaxed, I also love to put a drop or two on the lightbulb of my nightstand lamp and I don't lay there and worry until I fall asleep. I highly recommend this oil blend, as it really does help one “let go”.

Relaxing but uplifting.

CrabbyGab July 28, 2017

I'd never really tried aroma therapy before. Who has time? So, I thought this fragrance would be appropriate to start. When I got it, I decided to give myself a proper relaxation session with a hot bath and total quiet time. I found it to be a very pleasant aroma with peppermint, lavender and marjoram. The peppermint makes it soothing but not 'sleepy', which is perfect for baths. Of course, you can diffuse this scent anytime, not just special occasions. Now when I do, it reminds me of uninterrupted relaxation. Very nice.

Good size, good product

Kia July 29, 2017

I am familiar with essential oils and I use them daily. I was happy to try this one as it's advertised as therapeutic grade and 100% pure. The "Be Centered" oil is a blend of 100% pure essential oils of bergamot, orange, tangerine, patchouli, and cedarwood. I must say that the patchouli oil scent is very strong, I would say that the scent is spicy and warm as a whole. The properties of this blend are relaxing, clarifying, centering and calming so I used it in my bedroom by putting 5-6 drops in my aromatherapy diffuser. The scent is relaxing and calming, when diluted, I will be using it before sleeping and I think this could be a good blend to diffuse while doing yoga or meditating. The oil comes in a dark bottle with childproof cap and the bottle size will allow you to use and enjoy this product for long time.

Refreshing blend with a pepperment PUNCH!

Carla August 5, 2017

The Ellia “Let Go” essential oil blend is loaded with the refreshing scent of peppermint. Lavender and basil are also listed on the ingredients, but peppermint is definitely the top note and prominent fragrance, which is great for anyone who loves a minty scent. The box suggests 5-7 drops of oil in a diffuser, which I did try initially. However, I prefer a stronger presence in the air so I doubled the suggested amount. This provided a minty-fresh burst, let me tell you! The box lists “relaxing, soothing, calming, clarifying and herbaceous” as the properties for this particular blend. It also notes that the oil is 100% pure, therapeutic grade essential oil and is bottled in the USA. I really like this blend of oil and look forward to trying the other blends. I wish that the company would provide an insert inside the box describing each one of the oils in their collection and what ailments or conditions each scent soothes. I think that would be a great way to educate people who might be new to essential oils and their uses. Also, it would inform us to all the scents available to purchase. I really enjoy this particular blend and would recommend it.

Ellia EO is great quality

Jen August 11, 2017

The Ellia essential oil in the be centered formula is calming, yet helps you focus. It helped me to recenter. This was my first time using an essential oil and I initially put too many drops in and the smell was too strong. One or two drops will do for most uses as it is concentrated. The best way to use is with a diffuser to create the atmosphere in a room. This method is the best way to disperse the smell throughout a space. If you do not have a diffuser, you could put one or two drops on a cotton ball and leave in the room. However, I would suggest investing in a good diffuser for optimal results. I have shown a picture of exactly what is in the formula so that you can do your own research if you wanted on the benefits of each ingredient. Using essential oils is a great way to refocus when you are feeling out of balance and this brand is of high quality. I would recommend this family and friends.

Odd scent - didn't like it

LeakyLizzy August 5, 2017

This is supposedly a therapeutic oil meant to increase thought clarity. The oil itself is okay, but just okay. I am sure the quality is very good. The item comes in a glass bottle with a twist-off lid and inner plastic drop-at-a-time style seal over the bottle itself. This is to apparently eliminate the need for an eyedropper to get the oil out of the bottle. So, you just put a drop or two on your finger, and touch it to your temple areas. First off, the scent leaves a lot to be desired. It seems to be a combination of the old campho-phenique stuff for mosquito bites, with a little clove and topped off with a hint of mint. So, it is like you have just brushed your teeth with toothpaste, put a little tooth pain gel on your gums and rubbed anti-itch medicine on your arm for bites! I don't find the scent very pleasant at all. As far as the claims of increasing your thought clarity - I have not noticed any change whatsoever while using it. If anything, it is distracting from the scent! Sadly, I cannot recommend this oil to anyone. It doesn't seem to have any of the effects it claims, and the scent is very off-putting to me. This is going to be a hard pass from me, and not recommended.

A nice essential oil for clove/orange lovers.

mywonderfulnights August 1, 2017

I first would like to say that I received this bottle of Ellia 15ml (.5 fl oz) Therapeutic grade Essential oil (Get Going) for my personal opinion, rating and review. The packaging for Ellis's Get Going is bottled in the USA. It is packaged in spa like colors of tan, green, cream and brown. This essential oil is their motivation blend. The oil is made to energize motivate and uplift you by calming and elevating your mood. It is made with a 100% therapeutic grade lemon, orange, bergamot, tangerine, grapefruit, peppermint, spearmint, black pepper, clove and lemongrass. The suggested use is 5-7 drops in a diffuser. It may be used many different ways such as in an optimizer, washing machine or sachets. It can also be applied to skin and hair when mixed with carrier oil. When I first opened the product I didn't like the scent. In my opinion it didn't smell much like citrus. It smelled very strong of peppermint clove smell. I then mixed it with coconut oil and applied it directly to my wrist. It smelled different when applied to my skin. Yes, you do get the first sniff of peppermint and clove but within a few seconds I could smell the citrus scents. I smelled a very natural fresh picked orange, tangerine and grapefruit. I then tried it in an oil burner. When burning it I could smell everything but mostly the clove and orange. It gave me that comforting feeling of fall that I really like. I like this oil but I wouldn't seek out to buy it. I rate it 3 out of 5. I do recommend it if you love the scent of orange and clove.
