This is exactly the device I needed to level up and properly support the deck holding up my hot tub. The price per each was reasonable, if your on states side. it pretty much doubles to bring it to Canada, Dollar difference, shipping cost in states, and then an added shipping cost in Canada. All that said. for me very much worth what I paid for them. In dealing with a low clearance and needing to raise up the deck 1 plus inches, this product was perfect for the application. Best Regards Stan Androsoff
As a masonry repair and restoration contractor we often have to remove sections of brick to replace rusted angle irons over windows or to repair base flashings. In doing so we have to put in temporary supports to ensure the remaining brick work doesnt fall and it needed to be less than 8"s tall. We had one old screw jack we found by chance on ebay until I found the Ellis mini screw jack. They work great and are built solid. Thanks.
I really appreciated the quality and high strength of this Ellis Mini Screw Jack. I am an old school guy and I do not like cheaply manufactured products that will break down. I am SO glad I found Ellis Manufacturing for this product after seeing cheap Chinese imitations on the internet. I highly recommend this company and their products !!!!!! - John
There are very few items that are made with an emphasis on quality. These jacks are absolutely designed with the highest level of quality and functionality. There isn't another product like this on the market that can give you the piece of mind and security of these jacks. Our house's foundation is only two blocks tall so we have a very limited space. We put these jacks under a 6"x6" which we ran perpendicular to some sagging joists. We were able to perfectly level the floors in a very short amount of time. Hit the buy button if you want a product that does what it claims and you're an avid DIYer!!
Great products! During a renovation of an old house. The center sagged over an inch and a half. Very tight clearance in the crawl space to the bottom of the main support beams. The low profile worked flawlessly Extremely pleased I purchased 5 of these Joe Sena
Used these jacks for a permanent install instead of cap stone and shims to support floor joists on newly poured sonotube columns under and old log cabin - had to leave room at the top of the form to pour since working under existing floor - jacks filled the last seven inches - a few turns with a bar and a quick check with the laser level - let the dance party begin. Great product and solution to a tricky problem!
I have a two story shed that was leaning from sinking footings (pier blocks) and also was damaged by a micro burst, weather event. I was able to easily lift the structure and get it leveled using these jacks. They are currently supporting the structure while I excavate and pour proper footings. They enabled me to save my structure.
I used 4 mini screw jacks to level my gazebo. Holes were dug for concrete blocks which served as a foundation for the mini jacks. The gazebo was low to the ground however this was not a problem as the jacks required very little clearance. The jacks were then raised or lowered by simply screwing them up or down with the still bar. These jacks are made of heavy duty steel and are of very high quality. They work very well for the jab intended and they have my highest recommendation.
The Ellis Mini Screw Jack was perfect for my application. I used them for extra foundation support between piers and they made the job easy. They are compact but quite durable. They took the bounce out of the floor and gave me piece of mind to know that I now had all the support I needed.
Got my MJ-6 jack today and I'm very disappointed. If you think these are made in OK, USA, you would be wrong like I was. There is a "made in China" sticker proudly on the jack. The welds are horrendous, the paint job is comical, it's doesn't appear to be square. It looks like typical Harbor Freight s**t. Makes me sick for spending good money on this. I would happily pay more for quality but Ellis apparently went the cheap route. Shame on me for not doing more research. Ellis, reach out to me and I will send you pictures of the product I received.
