I received exactly what I expected when I expected it....pretty simple really and that's how I like doing business. The only improvement I would suggest is using some sort of packing in the box so the items didn't bang around inside the cardboard box possibly ripping it and allowing them to escape. Thanks.

Great product. I cut out 8 inches of two old footings, took out the old 4 x 12 header which was replaced with a 6 x 18 and add 4 steel 6x6 columns with the new footings that are 15 times the size of the old footing all while being shored with Ellis base shores and Ellis shore cups for a major structural upgrade. Ellis Shores were holding up to buildings from the floor up and holding the bottom from under the ground. I would have never been able to do this "ALONE" without this great product. I bought 9 adjustable base post holders and 9 pivoting shore cups. Customer service was very helpful. I look forward to building my next home from the ground up using more Ellis products.

We are researching options to shore excavation walls for rescue. We bought two of these shore cups to use as in a hybrid trench rescue/raker shore. They work really well since we don't have to measure the angle of the wall; the pivoting cups match the angle. We would like to see nail holes in the four corners in addition to the bolt holes; we don't have time to use nuts and bolts for rescue.

I've been looking for a strong hinge, but not just any hinge. The hinges I was looking for had to PIVOT!

Solved major problem with bracing a wall at 45 degrees using large 6x6 timbers. Very inexpensive as compared to a custom designed bracket.

This pivoting shore cup is excellent bang for the buck, but you get what you pay for in terms of manufacturing quality. I purchased 3 of these, and found they are not welded or drilled straight and they do not tilt the full 45 degrees. I had to trim 1/4" off the base plate to get the full 45 degrees that I needed for a brace, and then had to custom cut my wood brace to fit correctly after finding the assembly was twisted due to offset drilled holes and welding. Otherwise, if you aren't worried about angularity or straightness, this brace is excellent for the price.
