It is not for every application, but it is the best choice for some applications. It has a nice long open time allowing repositioning of joined surfaces. It is affordable. And it is a low odor glue. It works well for mending cracked boards in the outhouse, But let it cure before you take a seat.
I bought these for doing model railroad scenery. They don't sell hobby glue in my town so this was the next best thing. It is way cheaper that scenery glue the only thing is it takes way longer to dry. Unlike scenery glue that dries in a hour this takes overnight. But the final results are awesome and it dries matte clear which is very important for model railroad scenery. Used with all sorts of woodland scenic scenery products like turfs, bushes, ballast, gravel etc.
A great choice for many projects and repairs. Wish it dried a little faster, but on the other hand that allows for adjustments in the extra few minutes, so it is more forgiving than some. I've been using Elmer's glues for 60 years and will continue to do so.
Always used this glue for wood projects. Introduced to it during the 60's in Wood Shop while going to High School. To this day I still have a few projects from back then I made such as a Salad Bowl turned on a Wood Lathe with different color wood glued together with this Elmer's Glue. Used it ever since when needing to glue wood together. Once bonded it does not come apart. If you try to break the joint the wood will split elsewhere first before the joint will give way. To me that is holding power. There is no other glue needed for interior use.
Tried %26 true. we have other glues but Elmer's has its own set of uses. Dries thin and not easily seen afterwards. ibought it to glue down a very light in color, thin layer of suede that covers a shoe heel. I wanted something to hold with a small amount and not be noticeable. So I spread it thin and even.
use this glue it will stick with you... lol
What can I say about Elmer’s glue. We all use it!
I have tried numerous glues from gorilla glue to off brand. This is the only one so far that actually does what it advertises. Will only buy this if more is ever needed.
Elmers Glus isn't as thick as it once was, but it still works. If you're going to be working with thin paper, you'd best try to find either a paste, or a thicker glue because this thin stuff WILL cause your paper to buckle if the paper isn't construction paper, even if you only apply a thin line.
Received unacceptable substitute.
