I usually don't write reviews. I had one of my PIR'S malfunctions and I was really pleased with the action I received from EMACROS. I had purchased the unit with one receiver and four PIR'S in October. As I have mentioned one of my PIR'S malfunctioned. I purchased the EMACROS system as replacement for a system that had started to fail due to the age of the system. I liked the EMACROS system because of the solar power and the idea of being able to set the channels for each PIR. with a switch and the receiver would tell me which PIR is transmitting, my old system would not do this. It was easy to install the PIR'S in each location, I took the suggestion from one of the reviews I read and used tamper proof screws for installation. I also like it when the PIR is installed it can be adjusted for better coverage. I liked the receiver because it has battery backup, my old system could use batteries but could not leave them in when plugged in and the EMACROS you can. Which meant when installing the system, I could take it with me during the installation to check the setup of each PIR. Also, if I have to go to another room, I can take the receiver with me if I want too. One issue I had with the old system was that they would transmit when the sun hit some of the PIR'S and I had to shut the system down sometimes until the sun had moved. The EMACROS system I have had not had this problem. I still gave a five-star rating even though one of the PIR'S malfunctioned in December, one of the PIR'S started to continuously transmit. The system has a two-year warranty, so I contacted EMACROS and got a quick response from EMACROS. They made some suggestions to try to see if it would resolve the problem and ask to send my address. There suggestions did not resolve the problem. In a couple of days, I received an email with tracking information for the replacement PIR. Even though one of the PIR'S malfunctioned, I can say that this is a great system and that EMACROS stands behind their product.

Walmart website says the sensor is solar charged but the item I got is not Required regular batteries

I have another full set with the receiver located in my kitchen. So, I purchased this additional receiver for placement in my work shop. It works very well and is extremely easy to "pair" to the existing sensors. I would rate five stars if the AC power adapter was supplied with the unit. The power supply has to be purchased from Amazon. A real inconvenience!

I like that it's solar, wireless and a relatively easy installation with a drill and screwdriver. Some screws were too short and I had to attach unit to a block of wood first. Don't like that the screw allowing vertical or tilt positioning of sensor is on the back of the unit. So be sure to make adjustments before screwing unit in place. I like that there's a choice of channels ( I ordered 3 sensors). When activated a male voice announces the channel, followed by a 3-4 second melody that is different for each channel. Would like it to be a bit louder. The farthest sensor is over 400ft and works well through wooden buildings, trees and a stone house.

I wanted to be able to hide these so trespassers/intruders wouldn't see them, but unable to because these units have to get sun to recharge batteries. I had to rig up hidden wiring from units to inside of house in order to be able to hide them. By other beef is that they only have a 2 to 3 second alerting sound when tripped.

One of the 3 transmitters quit working. i contacted the manufacturer inquiring of replacement. Haven't heard from them

In my opinion this thing is not worth having. It works when it feels like it. works fine when people walk by and sometime when a vehicle passes it. Fedex truck came today and nothing. It didnt even pick up the truck when is was withen 6 ft of sensor. now i guess i have to look for one not made by this company. totally unhappy
