To be as low cost as it is, I was amazed that it comes in various colors so that me and my mom could have one without any confusion of which one belongs to who. Appears durable which is worth it's already low price. Mine came with headphones and tote bag for carrying so it's definitely awesome for the price I paid which is why I bought 2 of them. Awesome headphones that match. Mike's purple and my mom's is red. Thanks very much for my affordable portable ematic tv/dvd player.

I purchased the Ematic 7" Portable DVD player for my grandsons and they truly love having the DVD player. When ever they are traveling with their mom, they carry DVD player with them and watch their movies in the car. I plan to purchase another DVD player in couple of weeks. Excellent buy. This is a very valuable Item. I love it very much. I am quite amazed by it's features. The picture quality and sound is excellent. The caary sachel and headgear is way nice. Airplane quality I must say. And i will definitely recommend this to many people who have DVDs and may want to spend the day where an electrical outlet is available, I know they have portable outlets for a day in the park or a day by the river bay, you can not go wrong. What a wonderful gift! In a world of expensive investments, I recommend this high value item. $40.00, is more like $300.00, during a time disk players were ever home ready! Who says life ain't a diamond!

I bought 5 of these in different colors as Christmas gifts and they loved them!! My youngest grandson is four and he can use it with no problem. I love that they came with matching headphones and matching carry bag. These really are a great deal for the money. I would recommend these little gems to anyone. I’m planning on ordering another one for my husband. A really good product for a really good price.

I brought two, the red and the blue. Both the headphones stop working the second day of usage! That was disappointing. Called ematic customer service and have yet to receive a return call back. Should of known for the price. Wish it had a lock for the screen to the dvd player.

The DVD players are great for young kids. User friendly and easy to operate. However I can't give it a 5 star because of the ear phones. They are very cheap and after three days both pair stopped working (bought two DVD players). They just started using some they already had. Don't regret the purchase for the price.

I bought both teenage daughters one and they enjoyed watching movies on our Christmas road trip. I returned a different brand for my 4 year old and purchased another one like this for her as well. The sound is not all that loud with the earphones but they could still hear it! One daughter put her own earphones in and it was louder. Worth the price and sanity for me while driving them to their dad's every other weekend!

I bought two of these for my children (4 (red) and 6 (purple) ) this year for Christmas. There are some pros and cons. Pros: The colors are really nice on everything. The price that I paid for the bundle was great considering you normally spend 70 bucks on just the DVD player. It plays CD's as well as DVD's. The picture quality is great. The size of the screen is okay. We have not had any problem with the sound; quality is great. The set-up was easy. The buttons all work and is easy for kids to use. It's pretty sturdy; have not really been dropped or anything, but the kids have not had issues with it breaking easy or anything. The headphones fit comfortably on the head/ears. My daughter has issues sometimes because it squeezes her earrings but it's nothing that is not easily adjusted. Cons: I didn't realize it didn't come with a car charger but I am sure they are easily accessible but still it's a bummer. I do not like that you cannot charge these and let them watch them away from an outlet but the cord is long so no issues so far but still kind of a con. I do not like the design of the head set--it gets stuck in my daughters hair quite frequently which is an issue. The biggest con for me is that the case is not big enough for everything; if the bundle has the DVD player, the headphones and the charger, then it should all fit but it doesn't. I have to literally stuff it in there and shut it fast enough so it doesn't all fall out and then squeeze the top shut to try and fasten it; in all, the case should be bigger. There is no room to take movies or CD's in them either; so you would have to pack those separately unless you bought a bigger case. :/ I also do not like that the part of the headset that you place over the ear does not not tilt as it makes it hard to put them in the case. If that part moved to the side it all might fit in easier. In all, I am happy with the purchase and would recommend them. The kids are happy with them and really the pros outweigh the cons, as the cons are easily able to be fixed anyway.

I ordered two as gifts for my Grandsons! I opened them, plugged them in and turned them on to ensure they would be a perfect working order when the children opened them for Christmas. Items are made of a sturdy durable and easy to wipe off plastic. Screen rotates and the picture quality while viewing is exceptional - I was pleasantly surprised! Ease of use and buttons are practical - ergonomic! I played a DVD movie...listened to the sound, which was excellent and then plugged in the headphones!! Again, excellent sound and I was surprised...thinking I would get no more quality than earbuds!! The headphones color match the DVD...so there will be no argument which belong where! I also played a music CD - just to ensure that would work as well...it did!! I am very pleased with the purchase, the price and the deliver to the store (where I picked up). I am sure my Grandsons (ages 7 and 12) will be very happy with the Ematic 7" portable DVD player with headphones...even better a carry case to haul it with them, wherever they go!!

It plays the video without issue, but the noise levels from the unit itself are ridiculous. Also lacks the ability to adjust the screen settings. The screen is too dark to see the movie. Other than that, it does the job. I'm not sure I would pay this much for it, $25 would have been a fair price.
