Ematic PL220D Smart Plug, No Hub Required, 2 Pack

I love these plugs. They were super easy to set up. They just needed to be plugged in near the wifi. Then, I could unplug them and put them anywhere in my house. My Alexa app found them quickly. I used them both in my kitchen to plug in rope lights above my cabinets. I just tell Alexa to turn on Kitchen and they both go on. I also have them set to a timer to be on from 5pm - 10pm from an app on my phone. If you don't have Alexa or other smart home option, they can be controlled just from the phone app as well. Really wonderful product. I will be getting more.

Just got these today. I installed the Ematic smarthome app on my LG android phone. I was a little leery of the tiny bare bones instructions included with the product but these plugs were super easy to set up. It is also very easy to use the app. If you want to turn on whatever is plugged in, you just tap it on your phone screen. The icon will light up if it is on and stay dark if the plug is off. Great idea for turning lights off and on if you are away from home. There is also what's call a "routine", where you can set up an automatic on or off schedule. I can see using this for turning off the TV or lights automatically every night. If you wish to go further, you can set up a "scene" where you have more than one plug go on or off at the same time. There are scenes for bedtime, wakeup , leaving home, coming home, music, cooking etc.

This is my first smart home device of any kind. I love these plugs. They were very easy to set up and set up turn on and off times. Perfect for when we are out of town and can set up different times for each plug. I think I am going to get some additional ones for other items in my home.

Okay, I'm biased. Anything that pairs and works with Alexa...I'm hooked! This smart plug was extremely easy to setup and connect with our Wifi. You have the option of scanning the Qr code or downloading the app from Google play. I installed the app and followed the directions. Ten minutes both plugs were configured and located to the areas where we wanted to use them. They remained on the network without a problem. Adhere to the wattage limits and be sure to connect with a 2.4 GHz Wifi. Definitely recommend for those who beginning to develop a smart home.

This came with two in a box. How they work is you plug them into an outlet and then plug other things into them. You need to download an app which is compatible with both iphone and android phones. It has a guide to walk you through installation. The premise of the plug is to control what you plug into it through the smart phone app which you downloaded and set up. It has the ability to make life very convenient. You can control things like your coffee maker, fan, heater, and lamp to name a few. It also mentions a humidifier and toaster. This is great if you are in bed and are hot and want the lamp turned on. It is also compatible with Alexa and Google assistant to speak directions to it making it even quicker to activate. There are system requirements on the box such as you need Android 4.1 or higher or IOS 9 or higher. You also need to have a wifi network. I love the features and ease of set up. I am amazed at all it can do. You can even put your electronics on a schedule. You can receive notification of status change or usage and your can control it from anywhere through wifi. Amazing!!

This is such a great product. Most household outlets are only rated at 15 amps and this smart plug still allows the full 15 amps to pass through it. Super easy setup (the app is free and takes up 35mb) and even easier to use. Simply open the app, tap the screen, and that outlet turns on/off. You can rename them to whatever you want, and place them anywhere you desire (inside the house of course.) It even has a push button on the side so if you want to turn off just that outlet you can without the app running or having to pull the plug. This is great for people who end up running late and don't want to walk into a dark house, or if you forgot to turn a light on before you left. You could also use this for outside decorations, or all sorts of creative ideas since it has a schedule you can set in a calendar in the app itself. User friendly and works as advertised, all over wifi.

Absolutely love this product! I've tried other smart plugs which were frustrating and didn't end up working. Set up was super quick and easy! It looks me 5 minutes to install the app and both plugs! The app is user friendly and that says a lot coming from me. I plan on buying a few more of these!

You get two of these it is easy to set up. You down load the app connect it to your app. Awr yoir times and you are done. I like that tge app is offered in Apple,Goggle and the Amazon app atores

These smart plugs work very well with my Alexa. I don not think this has any difference compares with other similar items, but for me if this can detect Alexa's signals, it is ok.

I have several of these smart plugs from various brands and these work fairly well, just like the others. In the absence of purchasing expensive smart-light bulbs and hubs, this is a good alternative. Recommended.
