This is a less fancy version of the air fryer Emeril sells in the infomercial. I must says I was a skeptic, but my wife wanted it, and for $125 I figured, why not. Well, so far weve used it for sweet potatoes, broccoli and Brussel sprouts. All came out awesome. The air fryer basket is very easy to clean, nothing seems to stick to it (so far). Ill admit the fan is a bit louder than anticipated, but other than that, I find no fault. This replaced our toaster oven on our kitchen counter.
So far, we really like this little oven. It replaces an older GE toaster oven that while it worked, didn't have the features of this new one. We used the rotisserie option last night, and it came out great. We look forward to seeing how all the features work. We even purchased a second one for our daughter and her household.
Just received it today. Heats quick. Interior light is a nice feature. The display stays on even when not in use. Description reads five heating elements. I only see four. It barely fits a 12” pizza without using a pizza pan. I am concerned that the heating elements are not covered. If something drips on them, may cause problems. Toast came out good. Will try other items and update the review.
I've only used this 3 times but so far it seems to be fine. I did chicken wings in the air fryer and they seemed to take a lot longer than the recipe said, but were good. I baked a cake in it that was OK, not great (learning curve). And then I did toast, which is a no brainer. I did order the Emeril Power AirFryer 360 cookbook and am waiting for it to arrive. I will be able to do a better review after I get it. I think it's just a learning curve so I'm not concerned about not being able to love it. Some of the reviews said it was a fire hazard because it gets hot. It's an oven, of course it gets hot...don't touch it and keep it away from the wall or anything that might melt or burn. I didn't find that to be an issue.
It's okay, but nothing special. Heating up takes longer than I expected. One aspect that seems minor but is an irritant is the "cancel" button to turn it off. You can't just touch the button to turn it off. You have to touch it and then stand there and hold down for about five seconds to turn it off. It doesn't just turn off when it finishes its task. It stops heating, but you have to do the touch and hold to turn the machine off otherwise it continues to flash the temperature and minutes.
Returning this tomorrow morning. Not liking the whole appliance. Takes to long to preheat, and easily can get burned. Outside gets to hot. I'm sticking with my old dome type air fryer, much quicker good presets! Not recommending this fryer or any similar to this kind.
The unit I received was defective . Unable to change mode, like from toast to bake, or from bake to dehydrate etc. To change mode we have to select slow cook and than it will go to other mode. Called customer service and talk to manager. They will not replace the unit. Told me to return to Wal-Mart for refund . So I did. I will buy another air fryer from Walmart but not this company .
I air fried raw seasoned potatoes cubes and I tried to set the digital panel, which was not going well it was “pre set”. After 15 min on 395 the potatoes were still hard in the middle. When I wanted to pause it, it would not turn off it just kept running I had to hit the cancel button. After checking if the potatoes were done I had to hit the start button and the set time started all over again…..18 min. My previous air fryer cooked my food much fast!! My bagels in the morning come out ok, but my toaster does a better job!!!! I have not used any of the other features, I think I send this thing back.. I guess a well known Chef can make delicious dishes but should away from promoting and lending his name toward a product!!!
I would give it a zero but cant. It has never worked right from the getgo. It turns itself on to airfryer mode for some reason at any time and you can smell a bad electrical connection. I bought this online but I didn't save the packaging so I cant return it, unfortunately.
I hate this thing. I can't shut it off, so have to wind up unplugging it. The cancel button just decides for itself. I never know if the thing is preheating, on hold, or actually cooking. Just a total waste of money. Don't buy this countertop space waster!!!
