Retro Portable CD Boombox is great for my special needs son. I had bought him a fancy boombox and he became frustrated with too many buttons and lack dial tuning and volume controls. This rare find is perfect and easy for him to use with big dials for volume and radio station tunning! Also, there are modern functions along with the retro style ones, just awesome! I wish more technology would think about the special needs and elderly more often when they design things! Great job Emerson!!!
I have a JVC Kaboom Box that I bought 14 years ago that has AWESOME sound. On the other hand, it cost 2 and a half times as much as this Emerson even way back then, it's BIG, it weighs OVER TWENTY-THREE POUNGS (no batteries) and, as a result, it doesn't move around much. While it's technically "portable", when in use (during warmer weather) it rarely leaves my screen porch and goes into the yard unless I'm going to be out there most of the day. I wanted something smaller and lighter that has "good" sound and plays radio, CDs and USB that was easier to move around and that I could use in the house without threats of divorce. If these things fit you too, this Emerson is it. No separate bass and treble controls, but the equalizer does well. My only minor gripes are the lights (thankfully you can shut 'rm off) headphone use seems to have a volume governor and the active speakers are light-colored and will look dirty pretty quickly.
Legit love it. I didn't expect much but the bass is actually pretty solid. Perfect for my garage jam sessions lol.
Was looking for something for my craft room, and this fits perfectly. The speakers are better than I expected tbh.
Needed something simple but fun for my office. This checked all the boxes. Sound is clean and I like the old-school feel with modern touches.
Solid little player. Wish it had a longer power cord but otherwise works great. Sound quality surprised me!
Great overall. Easy to use and decent sound. I just wish the display was a little brighter, hard to see from far sometimes.
I didnt like the plug or the antenna.
This radio is awesome but the description is AI generated hence, completely wrong. It says built in rechargeable battery in 3 different places in this listing but it 100% does not have a built in rechargeable battery. You still have to buy regular batteries just like every other radios. Unlike what the description will tell you. Great radio though. The batteries are extremely hard to get In but it's a good radio.
Display unreadable and no remote
