Emerson Portable AM FM Radio, New

This is a good product but it needs batteries. It said it can be plugged into a wall but mine didn't come with that cable so mine is reliant on batteries only. Which is fine, the handheld radio is only meant for emergencies when power goes out. I have used it! I played around with the sounds and stations when I first got it. It works just fine and it has a handful of stations it can reach. It can fit into your purse or pocket which is why I bought it. Easy to use and understand. Is it the highest, best quality radio there ever was? No. Does it work and do what it's designed to do? Yes. Is it reliable? Yes. I give it a 7/10.

Bought this little radio to set on my front porch TO SCARE OFF RACCOONS that have been messing things up for awhile. It's common knowledge that if raccoons hear human voices and/or music they will stay away....If you have a sweet corn patch that the raccoons are raiding, just put a transistor radio in the patch and it will save your sweet corn. Good value for a small price!

Mostly got this to listen to ball games. First listen was the Bears game, because I don't have Amazon. Station was easy to pick up. It stayed on the station and did not drift like some dial radios tend to do. Very compact, put it just about anywhere. It will be like when I was a kid listening to my favorite baseball team play on days I can't watch. I love this thing and highly recommend it.

That little radio is able to pick up more stations than my car radio. The two double A batteries that it takes to power it lasts so long that using it for the past three days I have yet to see a decrease in performance or range. It looks great in my office as well.

Good little radio. Fits in your pocket. I put earphones in to listen. It's better sound. Almost like the ones of 50 years ago. I also bought a battery charger and replacement batteries to match. They'll help on cost in the long run. Overall I'd give it a 5/5.

I would recommend if you have a power outage. Helps so you don't have no noise. It works good and does what it's suppose to do.

The radio sound is very good and clear on both AM %26 FM. Only thing is AA batteries only last 4 days. 1 day for $1 store batteries and 4 days long Energizer brand. Too costly to keep buying for me. But, in an emergency situation unused will be ok short-term.

Great little pocket radio for camping. Reception is not good car radio picked up several different stations. Had to hold this little radio just right to get one station to pick up.

The station dial is too small. That makes it difficult to find and tune in to a station.. Sound volume is good but there is too much background noise. It's OK for the price but gets annoying after listening for a few hours.

Just what I wanted for a small, portable radio, but the sound quality is lacking. Fuzzy talk and it is difficult to stay in tune. The volume needs to be relatively loud in order to hear what's being said. Maybe they just don't make small, transistor radios that are high quality. I would not have purchased it, if I'd known how poor reception was. I just wanted a GOOD pocket sized, portable radio but have yet to find one.
