Emerson Portable DVD /CD+G/ MP3+G Karaoke System with 7" LCD

Purchased this unit to entertain our senior group RV club. Had a lot of fun and everybody enjoyed trying there turn. I did use an upgraded mic that was available at the club house. They are all looking forward to our next camp out. We have 40 rigs taht invole at least 40 people.

I was skeptical at first about the quality of the machine but it was delivered on time and as described. The instructions for setup were clear and it worked beautifully with good sound quality. It exceeded my expectations. Birthday girl loved it. It should be noted that you will want to buy one or more karaoke CD discs separately with songs you know and enjoy. The included CD works fine but unless you are into singing songs similar to She'll be Comin' Round the Mountain or Row, Row, Row Your Boat, you will not have the experience you are hoping for. All in all, it is a very nice machine and lots of fun-- good value.

What a GREAT gift for kids! Santa brought for our 7 and 9 year olds and it's been party central ever since. Unit is small and lightweight, easy to store out of the way but also small enough to have out for continuous play. Incredibly easy to set up and use. Sound quality is great. We do not have any background hissing noise as described by others. Screen is nice and bright, easy to read. We haven't yet tested the recording feature but are excited to do so.

Bought this for my Granddaughter's 8th birthday. We actually purchased 3 different Karaoke machines from Walmart and Best Buy because I couldn't find one that had great reviews and didn't have the time to get a different one before her birthday should there be a problem. This one was the more expensive of the three, but also came with 2 microphones whereas most only come with one. The other two had issues with screen "bouncing" so you couldn't read the words, and very lousy microphone reception. No issues with this one on the day we tested it, or the day she received it, entertaining 10 children from age 2 to 8. She loves it!

Ordered this one for my daughter's birthday after searching reviews. This one had the best reviews and rating and it does live up to those. No issues or problems of any kind. Comes with 2 micro-phones when most only come with one. Hooks up to iPod, iPhone. MP3 players, can watch movies and play cd's on it too. Sound is good, volume goes pretty loud so could be used in a crowd. Screen view is fine, no issues. Nice machine. Comes with 3 bonus cd's of Gospel music.

8yr old daughter is having a blast singing with her friends. Having the words display on-screen is great, as well as the two microphones. We still have lots of features to check out. When not playing, it does emit a high-pitch tone or hum, as others have also mentioned. It's annoying to me, but not a deal breaker. Kids don't seem to care.

I can't hear the singing through the speaker very well. The whole family enjoyed it. Haven't tried the recording just yet. Wish it came with a better karaoke disk even if it only came with 16 songs. The IPOD couldn't get it to work so well but plugged the IPAD and went on you tube got songs with lyrics and worked great. The size of the IPAD makes it easy to read.

The actual equipment looked good, but the music accompanying it was terrible. Babyish, child-like songs were included and I could not use the product. The songs on the enclosed "over 300 songs" DVD were NOT listed anywhere in the product advertisement so it turned out to be a waste of time and money. I am retuning it today. So, the product is only for children.

cd of 300 songs are ave maria and New years eve anthem...all which were uncool to my 10year old. You have to buy karaoke cd's. and the iPod will play songs but you can't get the words. Kinda just a iPod speaker really. Plus the microphone was broken so now I have the hassle of the return process. NO THANKS>

I bought this specific karaoke machine because it had a ton of positive feedback. I have more negative than positive things to say. The cd door kept getting jammed. I had to pry it open with a paper clip. I tried using my iPad with it and that was a bust. It kept giving me a error message. The songs that are preloaded are pretty lame. I liked that it had 2 microphones. It can also be connected to a larger screens. It's not very user friendly. I don't necessarily like reading instructions. I like things to be straightforward and this machine was not.
