I was skeptical of the off brand, but I really needed something more useful than glue for a project involving polyethylene(PE) plastic. Many adhesives arent recommended for that specific type of plastic, so i purchased this "welder". I'd seen a few different people use one, so i pretty much had an idea of its functionality and ease of operation. I was pleased with its performance, as well as the finished results. Very sturdy repair. No messy chemical adhesives. Came in a thin plastic carrying case, included several types of "staples", and a not very useful set of snips. So far, it's a keeper!
Good for lite duty projects or repairs of auto broken parts. Takes a littlle practice because of different thickness of plastics. Works good.
